WWE SmackDown Results (12/12/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens with a video package recapping what happened last week with Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.
Then Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome us to the show and talk about what’s going to happen tomorrow. Cole then said that Nick Aldis had an announcement. Later, Nick tries to reinstate Drew McIntyre, but Drew won’t answer any of his calls or emails. Nick then invited Drew to SmackDown, stating that they discussed bringing him back. Cody Rhodes then walks up from behind and asks Nick if Drew is here. Nick then says he received legal documents from Drew’s lawyer claiming this is an unsafe workplace. Nick then says he’ll go to Drew’s house this week to deal with it.
Cody then rolls up the letter and gets down in the ring. Cody started by saying he wanted to talk about Drew McIntyre. Cody then says that Drew says it’s a dangerous work environment. Cody then says that Drew almost stole his bald hair and that he is now in danger. Cody then says there’s a reason Drew doesn’t do 5 a.m. media junkets or appearances. Cody then says that Drew isn’t sweating because he’s half-hearted. Cody then says that if he were Drew’s boss, he would fire him. Cody then says that even though he’s not her boss, he can’t fire her. Then Cody says he can whip Drew’s ass.
Oba Femi’s music then plays and he steps down to the ring. Cody then hands the microphone to Oba Femi. Oba then told Cody that he was very fired up. Then the oba said he loved your passion but you were worried about the wrong man. Then Oba said you weren’t here because you were worried about Drew. Oba then says the NXT Champion will be in the building tonight. Oba then introduces himself to Cody. Oba then says that he is the ruler, the destroyer, the one who brings war, the mountain that cannot be climbed, and the opponent tomorrow night. Oba then said, in the spirit of Saturday Night’s Main Event, it’s the present and the future. Oba then says that the future is a distant story. Oba then says that he is knocking on Cody’s door and that the future is now. Then the Oba said with vigor, loyalty and respect that your time is up and his turn is now.
Cody says those were John Cena’s words and is glad he respects John. Cody then says he’s the guy who beat John to win the title. Cody starts to leave, but Oba stops him. Oba then retains the title and Cody does the same.
We then head to the back where Nathan Fraser tells Ilya Dragunov that if #DIY does anything they will come out and put their fangs in his throat. Axiom then says that if Ilya needs help, they will go there. Ilya then says that he plans to keep up with the tradition of this challenge and do it alone. Elijah then says that John Cena started this tradition and that he never backed down from bullying and fighting. Illya then says that if he played with the mud dragon, he would burn his fingers. Fraxiom then wishes Ilya good luck and leaves.
Tommaso Ciampa then goes down to the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Ilya Dragunov.
WWE United States Championship Match: “Mad Dragon” Ilya Dugunov (C) vs. #diy Tommaso Ciampa
The match begins with both men locking up, with Ciampa forcing Elijah into the corner and hitting him with chops and forearms. Ilya then hits a knee and a chop, followed by a European uppercut. Ciampa then hits a forearm and Elijah responds with a forearm of his own. Both men continue to fight and trade chops. Both then slap each other and Ilya hits a flying kick to the head. Elijah then hits a chop, but Ciampa hits a kick and forearm. Ciampa then hits a dropkick to the knee and a running knee for a near fall. Illya then hits an Irish whip and a running knee in the corner. Elijah then kicks Ciampa off the apron and Elijah runs towards Ciampa but misses a running corkscrew uppercut and hits the ring steps. Ciampa then suplexes Elijah into the ring steps. Ciampa then brings Elijah back into the ring. Ciampa then slams Elijah’s knee into the mat.
Ciampa also hits a kick to the head and a chop. Ciampa then hits a chop and slaps Elijah, who also returns a chop. Ciampa then puts his foot on the ropes, but he hits a dragon screw with a leg kick. Illya then kicks Ciampa to block the one leg crab. Ciampa then hits a chop but avoids an enzuigiri. Ciampa then hits a knee drop to the leg. Ciampa then rakes the eye and chops Elijah. Elijah then locks in a front facelock and hits a few forearms. Ciampa then hits a knee DT for a near fall. Ciampa then works on the leg and Elijah hits some forearms. Elijah then tries to kick Ciampa away, but Ciampa puts him in a waistlock. Elijah then hits a flurry of elbows, causing Elijah to swing into the ropes and lose a knee. Ciampa then hits a kick to the leg and a knee kick. Furthermore, Ilya hits an enzuigiri. Elijah then hits a chop and a slap.
Elijah then hits Ciampa with a knee and a slap. Ilya then hits a knee kick and a German suplex. After that, Ilja endures and hits the second one. Elijah then holds out, but Ciampa takes a few shots to the leg. Illya then slams an elbow into his collarbone. Illya then goes for a wrist clutch gut wrench, but his knee gets cut. Both men then traded blows, with Elijah hitting a high clothesline and a belly-to-back blow for a near fall. Ciampa then chops Elijah on the turnbuckle and Elijah slams Ciampa to the mat. Ciampa then kicks Elijah off the turnbuckle onto the apron, and Ciampa hits an Air Raid Crash for a near fall. Elijah then headbutts Ciampa off the turnbuckle. Illya then hits Ciampa with a missile dropkick. After that, Ilya stands up first. Elijah then hits a chop.
Ciampa then goes to the apron and Elijah hits a crossface. Elijah then tries to superplex Ciampa back into the ring, but Ciampa stops Elijah and slams him to the mat. Ciampa then hits a single leg crab. Illya then rolls over and kicks Ciampa, but Ciampa goes back to a one-legged crab. Ilya then tries to get away with a few kicks, but gets hit in the head with a running boot. Furthermore, Ilya aims for a wrist clutch exploder.
Elijah then chops Ciampa and Ciampa returns a chop. More headbutts from Elijah and slaps from Ciampa. Ilya then slaps herself. Illya then hits a series of chops in the corner. Elijah then puts Ciampa on the turnbuckle and slaps Ciampa. Elijah then hits a chop and Elijah goes to the turnbuckle. Illya then goes for a superplex, but Ciampa hits a super air raid crash for a near fall. Elijah and Ciampa then stand up and slam each other. Ciampa also staggers Ilya, and Ciampa blocks a kick and hits a Dragon Screw. Kneepads come down next, but Ilya headbutts him. Ciampa then hits a German suplex and Illya hits a flying headbutt. Johnny Gargano then gets on the apron and Candice drops Elijah onto the top rope. Ciampa then hits a running knee for a near fall. Illya then countered Fairy Tail Ending with a back body drop and dropped down for the win.

After the match, Ciampa and Gargano attack Elijah. Carmelo Hayes then goes down to the ring and takes care of Gargano and Ciampa. Hayes then goes to Elijah and helps him get up. The two then shake hands.
Then we head to the back and Kathy Kelly is interviewing Jevon Evans. Evans tells Cassie that she is wrestling on the biggest stage of her career. The Miz shows up and says this is all wrong. He then said that Kathy was supposed to interview him about tomorrow’s match, but there was no interview. And, he says, Evans wasn’t even born when Cena started wrestling. Evans then says that Miz had a chance to be on the show but lost twice. Evans challenges Miz to a match tonight, and Miz goes to Nick Aldis and says he’ll give him a match tonight. And if Evans gets injured, he says, he won’t be able to compete in Saturday night’s main event.
Then the feed scrambles and we see Uncle Howdy and he says they’re here and laughs.
The lights then go down and Wyatt Sixx steps down to the ring. Uncle Howdy started by talking about Solo Chicoa and saying that you made a lot of claims that discredited him and his family. And Howdy says who are you to judge? Howdy says you may not have the power to see inside Solo, but they do. Howdy then says that the reality is that your real family has all turned against you. Then Howdy said you are using and abusing the people you claim to love. Then Howdy says you’re disillusioned. Howdy then says it’s insane that MFT is running SmackDown. Howdy then laughs. Howdy then says that nothing will happen if you rip the scales from his eyes. Howdy then says the Wyatts have the tag titles. And Howdy says if you and your family want these titles, come get them.
Then the solo music hits, but it doesn’t come out. We then see Solo and MFT in the room. Solo says he had no intention of showing up on his terms. He then tells Uncle Howdy to talk to him. And Uncle Howdy said he doesn’t have the decision-making power because he has the decision-making power. And he says Wyatt Thicke likes to come out of the shadows and attack his family. Solo says he’ll be there next week to win the tag team titles. And he says if you want to keep your family safe, give them the tag team titles or they’ll have to run away.
We then head to the backside where Charlotte Flair tells Alexa Bliss that Rush Legend is the most powerful woman but Alexa will win. Then Rhea Ripley appears and says that she and IYO will be aiming for the tag titles next. Alexa then says she won’t back down for anyone. Leah then wishes Alexa good luck, and Alexa wishes Leah good luck.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Rush Legend and Nia Jax. Sol Luca and Bayley are then seen in the crowd.
Single match: Alexa Bliss vs. “The Boujee Bully” Rush Legend
The match starts with Rush missing a bicycle kick, Alexa gets on Rush’s back, but Rush hits a snapmare. Rush then misses a boot into the corner. Alexa then hits La Mistica and slams Rush to the floor. Alexa then goes for a cannonball from the apron, but Rush catches her and Rush drops Alexa into the ringside barrier. Both women then return to the ring. Rush then tightens the wristlock and works the arm. Rush then grabs Alexa’s wrist and lifts her up, causing her to hit a clothesline for a near fall.
Rush hits a splash and goes for the cover, but Alexa kicks out. She then slams Alexa into the corner and runs towards her, but Alexa hits a big boot. Alexa then climbs the top rope and goes for a crossbody, but Rush catches her. Rush goes for another slam, but Alexa hits a DDT. Alexa hits a slap to the face, followed by a knee to the face and a dropkick. He runs to the ropes again, but Rush hits a Rush Minute and a forearm to the face. Alexa then gets on the ring apron and Rush distracts the referee. Nia then trips Alexa. Flair then hits a superkick on Nia, Nia turns around but Rush hits a kick to the face. Rush then returns to the ring and Alexa goes for a DDT, but she catches him and hits him with a Rush extension for the win.

We then head to the back where Kathy Kelly is interviewing Aleister Black and Zelina. Zelina says it didn’t have to happen like this. And she said this is happening because Damien Priest doesn’t like the man he is now. And she says calling a friend won’t save her. Black then says that if Damian wants to drag his friend to hell, that’s fine.
It was then announced that SmackDown would return to three hours starting January 2nd.
The Miz then makes his way down to the ring for his next match of the night, followed by Jevon Evans.
Single match: The Miz vs. “Young OG” Jevon Evans
The match starts with both men locked up, Miz locks him up with a side headlock and hits a shoulder tackle. Miz then faces Pai and Evans. Miz then mocks Evans. They then lock up again and Miz forces Evans into a break. Evans then hits a monkey flip. Evans then taunts Miz and hits a dropkick. Evans then hits a springboard head scissors takedown, dropping Miz to the floor. Miz then moves and Evans goes for a sliding baseball but misses. Miz then hits a knee. Evans then hits an Asai moonsault. Miz then hits a thrust kick and slams Evans into the ring post. Miz then hyperextends his arm and Evans falls to the floor. Miz then sends Evans into the ringside barrier several times. Miz then hits a springboard double sled. Miz then locks in an armbar and hits an elbow to the collarbone.
Evans then hits a flurry of punches and kicks. Miz then catches Evans off the ropes with a springboard move and stomps him with an elbow. Miz then puts his arm on the ropes and Miz hits a rope kick. Miz then goes for the shoulder, but Evans hits a sunset flip for a near fall. Evans then hits a kick, but he avoids a sliding baseball. Evans then gets a near fall. Evans then missed a splash into the corner and crashed into the turnbuckle. Miz then hits a crossface, but Evans rolls back for a near fall. Evans then hits a chop. Evans then throws a flurry of punches, but Miz lands a kick to the arm. Evans then hits a kick and thrust kick. Evans then hits a rebound roundhouse kick for a near fall.
Evans then goes to the turnbuckle and goes for a moonsault, but lands on his feet. Miz then hits a slam and he sets up and hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Miz then goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Evans stands up and slams Miz to the floor. Evans then hits a plancha. Miz then catches Evans with a double jump cutter, but Evans rolls into a near fall. Evans then hit a double jump cutter for the win.
The winner of the singles match is “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans!
Rhea Ripley is then seen in the back, and Rush Legend and Nia Jax stop by to ask if they saw what they did to Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. But Rush says things are about to change. Rhea asks if it is a threat. And Nia says she doesn’t want anything to do with him. And said that if she and IYO wanted the title, they would get it. Damian Priest then appears and says this is the energy he is looking for. Jade Cargill then appears and she leaves.
Then we meet Michin and she says she knows Jade Cargill will give her everything she got and she promises to give Jade everything she has. As Michin is walking, Jade hits him with her right hand and slams him into the wall. Jade then tells her to play some music and goes down to the ring.
Jade picks up the mic and says she’s going to stop everyone from testing her. Jade then says that’s what happens when women don’t know their place. Then Jade says that anyone can be stepped on. Jade says he’s an asshole and Michin comes down to the ring with a kendo stick. Michin then hits Jade several times with a kendo stick. Michin then goes under the ring and takes a table. Jade then hits a bicycle kick and sends Mi Chin into the ring. Jade then looks around and puts the table under the ring. Mi Chin then punches Jade and Jade hits a chokeslam. Jade then stands over Mi Chin. Then Jade’s music came on and she walked to the back.
