Drake’s OVO and WWE Team Up for Exclusive Merch Collection

2 Min Read

Earlier this week, OVO Sound, the brand created by rapper Drake, teased a partnership with WWE by sharing a photo on its Instagram Story, announcing that an official reveal would happen on December 19th. OVO Sound, which represents various ventures including Drake’s record label and the Toronto Music Festival, led many to believe the collaboration would be tied to OVO Clothing merchandise.

Just a few days later, and ahead of the anticipated announcement date, OVO and WWE confirmed their collaboration with an Instagram post showcasing the OVO x WWE collection. Described as "built from moves that made history," this apparel line is set to launch on December 19th.

Initial images of the collection suggest a heavy influence from WWE’s Attitude Era, featuring items such as a light pink Bret Hart T-shirt, a hockey jersey with Hart’s "Hitman" logo alongside the OVO owl, an OVO 3:16 hoodie nodding to Steve Austin’s famous phrase, an “October’s Very Own” T-shirt with a skull design reminiscent of Austin, and several other pieces including an Undertaker T-shirt and "Brahama Bull" locks. It is still unclear if additional merchandise will be revealed upon release.

While Drake himself has not publicly discussed the partnership, his appearance at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event in Toronto earlier this year marked his first known association with the wrestling world.

Fan Take: This exciting crossover between Drake’s OVO brand and WWE taps into nostalgia while bringing fresh cultural appeal, likely drawing new fans to the sport. For WWE enthusiasts, it represents a unique way to celebrate iconic wrestling moments through stylish, premium merchandise.
