Tonight’s WWE SmackDown, airing on December 19, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. On Saturday Night’s main event show after WWE, WWE United States Champion “The Mad Dragon” Ilya Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes will take on #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) in a tag team match. WWE SmackDown Results (12/19/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show begins with a video package recapping last weekend’s WWE Saturday Night Main Event.

Commentary then welcomes us to the show and we see Cody Rhodes and MFT enter the arena.

Damian Priest then comes down to the ring. Damian started by saying that the last few days hadn’t been easy. Damian then mentions how John Cena had to say goodbye to his career. Damian then gave Cena the best phone call ever and said thank you to Cena. Damian then talks about how he and Rhea Ripley had a victory over Aleister Black and Zelina last week on SmackDown. Damian says he can look at 2026 now, but as they’re talking, Zelina comes out. Zelina says she is such a hypocrite. Zelina then tells him that knowing Rhea Ripley to fight for him will make him a real man. Then, Zelina tells him that he didn’t even win. Zelina then says that Damian can’t stand the fact that Aleister broke him and made the decisions he made, and now he has to live with them, or more importantly, his.

Aleister Black’s music then plays and Black hits Damian Priest from behind. Black then hits Damian with a right hand, but Damian hits a few right hands of his own. Damian then grabs Black, but Black hits a kick and Damian goes out of bounds. Black then goes out, but Damian slams South of Heaven onto the ring apron. Damian then goes under the ring and grabs a table. Damian then sets up a table, but Black grabs a steel chair and hits Damian in the back with it. He then shoved Damian into the ring post and punched Damian, causing him to fall into a table. Damian then stands up, but Black hits him with a spinning elbow to the face. Black then gets on the ring apron and hits Damian with a double knee through the table. Then Black’s music hit and WWE officials came out.

Next, Byron Saxton heads to the back with Nia Jax and Rush Legend. He mentioned Rush Legend’s upset win over Alexa Bliss last week. Nia stops him and Rush tells him that no matter how great Alexa is, she had no chance of beating her. Afterwards, she whipped her in the ring and said that now that she was done with Alexa and Charlotte, she was moving on. Nia then says that once the match against the Kabuki Warriors is over, she will enter the tag team championship match and become champion. Byron tells Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY have a title match. Then they tell him it’s about irresistible forces and bougie bullies.

We then see Damian Priest being helped from behind and attacked by Aleister Black again. Black sends Damien into the storage case. Black grabbed a shovel and hit Damian in the back of the head with it. Black then gears up for the Black Mass and hits it, sending Damian into the gate of the truck.

Asuka and Kairi Sane then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Nia Jax and Rush Legend.

Non-title match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Kabuki Warriors (“Tomorrow’s Empress” Asuka, “Pirate Princess” Kairi Sane) vs. “Irresistible Force” Nia Jax, “Boosie Bully” Rush Legend

The match starts with Sane and Legend, Sane jumps on Legend’s back but Legend slams her into the turnbuckle. She then goes for a kick, but Sane moves out of the way. Sane then slams him face first into the turnbuckle. Sane then climbs to the top rope and goes for a crossbody, but Legend catches him. He then throws Sane into the ropes, but Sane hits a headscissors takedown. Sane goes to the ropes again, but Legend hits him with an elbow to the face. Nia then tags in and gives Team Sane a double-double in the corner. Nia then goes for a cover, but Sane kicks out. Nia then goes to the ropes and goes for an elbow, but Sane moves out of the way.

Asuka is then tagged in. They then catch Nia, but Nia pulls them into the ropes and hits her with a kick. Asuka goes for the cover but Nia kicks out. Asuka hits a series of kicks and escapes to the ropes, but Nia hits a pop-up headbutt. Asuka stands up and hits a double knee on Nia. Sane also tags in and hits a double dropkick. Legend then runs towards them but they send her into the ring apron. Asuka then hits a running hip attack. Sane then gets on the top rope and hits an elbow drop on Nia and Legend. Nia then corners Sane in the corner. Legend is then tagged in and she forces Sane into a headlock. Sane then hits a flurry of elbows, but Legend slams her to the mat. Nia is tagged back into the ring. Nia hits Asuka with a right hand on the ring apron. Nia and Legend then go for a double suplex, but Sane hits a double DDT.

Asuka is then tagged in and hits a dropkick on Legend. Asuka hits an elbow on Nia and kicks Legend. Asuka then hits a kick to the side of Nia’s head. Nia runs to the ropes and goes for a Samoan drop, but Asuka stands up. Asuka hits a kick and forces Nia into an armbar, but Nia gets back up. Asuka then goes for a rollup but Nia tries to sit on top of Asuka and Asuka moves out of the way. Asuka then goes for a cover, but Legend breaks it up. Sane then enters the ring and hits Legend with a right hand and a kick to the side of the head. Sane then goes to the ropes but Legend hits a right hand.

Asuka then hits Legend with a kick. Nia then runs towards Asuka, but Asuka moves out of the way and Nia crashes into the ring post. Asuka then climbs to the top rope, but Legend grabs her. Sign then knocks Legend off the ring apron. Nia then climbs to the second rope and grabs Asuka, but Asuka rolls and lands on her feet. Sane also tags in and Asuka hits a powerbomb. Legend then grabs Asuka outside and sends her into the ring steps. Sign then hits a knee to Legend. Sane then climbs to the top rope and goes for an elbow, but Nia grabs her and chokeslams her. Nia then put Sane under the turnbuckle and hit Annihilator for the win.

The winners of the non-title match are “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax and “The Boujee Bully” Rush Legend!

After the match, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss come down to the ring. Flair kicks Nia and slams her into the ring post. Alexa then hits a flurry of forearms and Flair hits a thrust kick on Rush. Alexa dropkicks Rush and Nia gets kicked to the floor. Flair then hits a thrust kick on Rush and Alexa goes for a Twisted Bliss but Nia drags Rush to the floor. Flair and Bliss then retain the tag belts.

Then I go to the back and Jackie Redmond is in the locker room and Kiana James and Julia barge in. Kiana says Jackie needs to go through her to talk to the client. Jackie then apologizes and asks permission to speak to Julia. Jackie then asks about Julia’s desire to win the U.S. Women’s Title and having to face Alba Fire. And Julia says she’ll be playing against Alba Fire to go to Chelsea Green.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is then seen arriving at Drew McIntyre’s house with police to talk to him. Nick thanks Drew for inviting him to his house. Nick said that things like this may happen in the office, but he is doing this in good faith. Nick then asks Drew why he came here after what he did on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Nick says Cody wants Drew back and everyone wants Drew back. Nick then says that Drew is a top talent in WWE and an integral part of SmackDown.

Then Nick says he has a suggestion that Drew might like. Nick then says that if Drew goes one-on-one with Cody, the title will be on the line. Nick then asks Dan Engler to apologize publicly to show that Drew is repentant. Nick then says there will be a hefty fine, but it will be covered by his salary from WarGames. And Drew says he has someone to fight for the title with, and that’s what he wants more than anything. And Drew says, “No.” Drew then says that’s what Cody and Nick want. Drew then says you created an unsafe work environment. Drew then says that if she accepts, she will be fucked again. Nick tells Drew to say what he wants. Then Drew says he wants something fair.

Drew says he will get a title match against Cody when he comes back. Drew says he knows how much Nick wants to protect Golden Boy, so he chooses those terms. Drew then tells Nick to return to Stanford and draw up a document stating that he cannot lay a finger on Cody before the match or he will be stripped of the title.

Nick then says he agrees to the terms. They then shook hands and Drew said it was a pleasure doing business. Drew then asks how long it will take to complete the paperwork. Later, Drew sees Cody outside his house and yells at him for framing Nick. Drew then says he’ll figure this out. Nick then tells Cody that he is ruining everything and Drew tells Cody to leave the property. Cody then chases Drew as the footage becomes blurry. The footage is fine while being restrained, but the footage is lost upon contact. Cody then said to Drew, “Merry Christmas, ass****.”

Then we headed to the back and Byron Saxton was with Nick Aldis and he asked about how far apart there was between them. Nick said everyone was pissed and one of the biggest stars was missing. Nick says Cody’s behavior is outrageous, but it’s up to local authorities. He then said he would talk to Cody about this. The Miz shows up and says he wants a match against the guy who messed things up. Miz then cuts Nick off before he can say his last name and demands a match next week. Nick said he would tell Eva about it. Miz then begins to leave the office and R-Truth tells Miz that he believes in Joe Pesci. Miz then leaves the room. Truth then says that Miz is jealous of Nick’s British ball.

Chelsea Green and Alba Fire then go down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Julia and Kiana James.

Single match: “The Beautiful Madness” Julia vs. Alba Fire of The Secret Harvis

The match begins with Julia landing a double leg takedown and punches. Julia then hits a dropkick. Julia talks to Green and kicks and punches Alba. Julia then hits a headbutt. Alba then hits a chop and Julia sends Alba into the turnbuckle. Julia then chokes Alba in the corner and hits a running knee. Julia then hits a suplex for a near fall. Green then distracts Julia and Alba lands a flurry of punches and forearms. Alba then hits a tornado DDT for a nearfall.

Julia then grabs Alba by the hair and throws her to the mat. Julia then grabs Alba by the hair again and throws her. Julia then missed a splash into the corner, but tightened it with an abdominal stretch. Afterwards, Alba and Julia come close to falling over and over again. Julia then hits a kick and goes for a Hammerlock Slam, but Alba escapes and Julia hits a kick for a near fall. Julia then backslides and hits a knee to the head. Julia then hits the Northern Lights Bomb for the win.

The single match winner is “Beautiful Madness” Julia!

After the match, Chelsea and Julia get into an argument, but Chelsea tries to leave.

Cody Rhodes is then seen walking through the backstage area.

Later, a video arrives from Wyatt Thicke in which Uncle Howdy tells Solo Chicoa that his greed for status and power led him down a dark path. Then Howdy says the truth lies beneath, and the image you paint will catapult your family into a whole new world. And Howdy says the world is full of adversity and abandonment. Then Howdy said there was nowhere else to run. And Howdy says you start a journey, a journey that will force your family to surrender.

Cody Rhodes’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Cody starts by asking Hershey what he wants to talk about. Cody goes to Drew’s house and asks if he threw a law enforcement officer into the water. Then Cody says he did it. Cody then says Drew says WWE is a dangerous work environment. Then Cody says that’s all you guys are. Then Cody said we had an unsafe working environment. Cody then says, what is a safe working environment when you have all kinds of athletes around you? Then Cody says what happened between us at your house is a tenth of what should have happened in our ring.

Nick Aldis then comes out and says Cody doesn’t understand the situation he’s put everyone in, and Nick says what Drew said was bullshit, but what he said became true when you showed up at his house. Then Nick said he had to take a bad deal because of your actions. Nick then says you’re a champion, but you’re not above the law. Nick then tells Cody that he should have trusted him to get this to the finish line. Nick says if Drew pays the fine and apologizes publicly, he can’t blame him. Cody then asks. Nick tells Cody to strip him of the title.

Cody then agrees not to touch Drew McIntyre. In the spirit of the request, Cody said he would ask Nick if he forgot who he was talking to. Cody then asks Nick to ask who he’s talking to. Cody then says he sent the match-changing tweet, dethroning the Tribal Chief and winning the title from John Cena. Then Cody says you’re saying you’re not above the law. Cody then says that as long as he has the title, it’s the law. Cody tells Nick that although he has the title, he doesn’t work for Nick, he works for the people. Cody then tells Nick that he works for him. Cody then drops the microphone and leaves.

We then head to the backside where Carmelo Hayes and Ilya Dragunov appear and thank Carmelo for helping us last week. Hayes then had to go back to Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano said he was collateral damage. And he said he doesn’t jump people from behind. Elijah then reminds Carmelo to stop. After that, Ilya said that they dropped him off. Axiom and Nathan Fraser appear and ask Hayes and Elijah to leave them alone for a while. Axiom then says that he wants revenge for stealing the mask. Illya then says that when Ciampa bleeds him, he is not just a bad guy, but his prey.

#DIY and Candice LeRae make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Carmelo Hayes and Ilya Dragunov.

Tag match: WWE United States Champion “The Mad Dragon” Ilya Dragunov & Carmelo Hayes vs. #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)

The match begins with both teams fighting in the ring. Elijah and Ciampa then stay in the ring and Elijah hits a chop to the chest. Hayes then tags in, sends Ciampa to the ropes and hits an elbow to the face. Hayes then hits a leg drop. He then goes for a cover, but Ciampa kicks out. Elijah was then tagged in again and picked Ciampa up and threw him to the mat. Elijah then climbs to the top rope, but Candice LeRae gets on the ring apron and distracts the referee. Gargano then drags Elijah down to the ring apron. Ciampa then hits a knee to the face and Elijah falls onto the announce desk.

Ciampa and Elijah get in the ring. Both men then hit right hands and kicks. Gargano then tags in, but Elijah hits the Constantine Special. Hayes then tags in and hits Gargano with a right hand. Hayes then hits a facebuster from a right hand springboard. He goes for another cover, but Gargano kicks out. Elijah then tags in and Hayes hits Ciampa with a splash over the top rope outside the ring. Elijah then climbs the top rope and hits a senton. He goes for another cover, but Gargano kicks out. Hayes is then tagged in and goes to kick Ciampa on the ring apron, but Ciampa grabs his leg. Gargano then hits a superkick and Ciampa tags in. Ciampa also hits Project Ciampa. He then goes for a cover but Elijah breaks it up.

Gargano then sends Elijah out of the ring and Elijah into the ring post. Ciampa then runs towards Hayes, but Hayes hits a superkick. Ciampa grabs the referee as Hayes goes for the springboard, but Candice trips him. Ciampa then hits a running knee to the face. He then goes for a cover, but Hayes kicks out. Gargano is then tagged in and we get the fairy tale ending. Gargano then goes for a cover, but Hayes kicks out. Ciampa then tags in and goes for the Meet Me in the middle, but Elijah comes in and hits a running elbow on Gargano. Hayes then hit a first 48 on Ciampa. Illya is then tagged in and attacks Ciampa with a water bomb. Hayes was then tagged in, climbed to the top rope and hit the Nothing But Net for the win.

The winners of the tag team match are WWE United States Champion “The Mad Dragon” Ilya Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes!

Then we head to the back and Jackie Redmond is with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. Bliss said the message they sent to Nia Jax and Rush Legend was that if you look too far into the future, you forget who’s right in front of you. She then stated that Rhea and IYO were scheduled to have a tag team championship match and that she thought Nia and Rush were next in line. Flair then says they’re not, they’re in the way. Then Alexa says she’ll be waiting no matter who wins. Jackie then thanks them and leaves, and Jade Cargill comes by. They then see Jade and leave. Jade starts walking and Jackie stops her. She then asks Jade if she has anything to say about attacking Mi Chin last week on Smackdown. Jade then tells her it’s okay, it’s the season and she’ll say something nice. She says she was shocked to see Michin stand up after falling down. She then tells Jackie that she and the rest of the people will receive these L’s, that she is big on charity work, and that she will put the spotlight on Michin and then turn off her lights. Michin then comes from behind and hits Jade with a kendo stick. WWE security and B-Fab come in as B-Fab grabs her and leaves.

And next week on SmackDown, it was announced that Ilya Dragunov’s next United States Championship Open challenge, Joe Hendry will face The Miz, and the return of Drew McIntyre.

Solo Chicore then cuts a promo where he says Uncle Howdy is talking a lot of nonsense about nothing. Solo then said if you threatened my family then we have a problem. Solo then said that he would embarrass you in front of the whole world. Solo then says he plans to watch Hotaru and the others win the tag titles. Then Solo says he has the whole world in his hands.

MFT then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night, followed by Wyatt Thicke.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Wyatt Six (Dexter Loomis, Joe Gacy) (c) vs. MFT (JC Mateo, Tonga Roa)

The match starts with Lumis hitting Tonga Loa with a right hand followed by a back suplex. Lumis then hits a leg drop. He then goes for a cover, but Tonga Roa kicks out. Gacy also tags in, but Tama Tonga hits a right hand. He then forces Gacy into the corner and tags in JC Mateo. JC Mateo hits a right hand. Another run to the ropes, but Gacy hits a dropkick. Lumis is then tagged in and double-teamed with JC Mateo. Lumis then hits a centone. He then goes for a cover but JC Mateo kicks out. JC Mateo then rolls out of the ring. Gacy then tags in and hits Tonga Roa on the ring apron with a right hand. Gacy then goes to the outside, but Tonga Roa hits a clothesline. Lumis then jumps off the ring apron, but JC catches him and slams him into the ring post and outside.

Tara Tonga then headbutts Lumis in the ring. Tonga Roa then hits a leg drop and goes for the cover, but Lumis kicks out. Tonga Roa then hits a right hand and JC Mateo tags in, double-teaming Lumis. JC then goes for a cover but Lumis kicks out. Tonga Roa then tags back in and double-teams Lumis in the corner. Tonga Loa then hits a running powerslam. He then goes for a cover, but Lumis kicks out. He grabs Loomis again, but Loomis hits a superkick. JC then tags in and Lumis hits a superkick. Gacy is then tagged in and hits JC with a right hand. JC then hits a suplex and hits Tonga Roa on the ring apron. Gacy then hits a back suplex on JC. He then goes for a cover but JC kicks out.

Gacy then hits a springboard moonsault but JC moves out of the way. JC then slams Gacy to the mat and Gacy goes for the cover but Gacy kicks out. He then sends Gacy to the ropes, but Gacy hits a clothesline and JC falls out of the ring. Tonga Roa comes in but Gacy hits a clothesline. Gacy then goes to the ropes and jumps over the top rope onto JC and Tongaroa. He then sends JC back into the ring and tags Lumis. And they double team JC. Lumis then climbs to the top rope and hits a splash. He goes for another cover, but Tonga Roa breaks it. Tonga Roa then kicks Gacy out of the ring. Tara Tonga then hits a big boot on Gacy outside the ring. Erick Rowan then hits Tara Tonga from behind and both teams begin a fight outside the ring.

The WWE Tag Team Championship match ends in a no-contest!

After the match, MFT brings Wyatt Thicke into the ring. Tara Tonga then climbs to the top rope and hits a crossbody on Wyatt Thicke. Rowan then entered the ring and hit Tara Tonga with a dropkick followed by a clothesline that sent Tara Tonga falling outside the ring. Nikki Cross then gets in the ring and Rowan picks him up and throws him at Tara Tonga. Solo Chicore then gets in the ring and hits Rowan with a Samoan spike. He then turns and Uncle Howdy takes aim at Sister Abigail, but both teams end up fighting in the ring as the show draws to a close.
