AEW filmed both “Dynamite on 34th Street” and “Christmas Collision” last weekend at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, with spoilers from Fightful uncovering several surprises. On “Dynamite on 34th Street,” Jack Perry overcame PAC in the C2 Gold League, CMLL star Mascara Dorada bested Roderick Strong in the Blue League, and Konosuke Takeshita defeated Orange Cassidy. This set up Takeshita’s advancement to the C2 semi-finals, and Perry’s win pushed the entire Gold League into a six-point “clash.”

During “Collision,” Takeshita eliminated Dorada by winning the Blue League lead, while Roderick Strong earned three points by defeating Claudio Castagnoli. Jon Moxley also triumphed over Orange Cassidy, reaching nine points to secure second place in the Blue League and eliminating Cassidy and Castagnoli. In the Gold League, Kyle Fletcher defeated Perry, PAC and Kevin Knight fought to a draw, and Kazuchika Okada beat Mike Bailey. Fletcher and Okada each earned nine points, moving on to the semi-finals, where Fletcher will face Moxley and Okada will battle Takeshita after a long-standing rivalry. Fletcher eventually clinched the Gold League by defeating Okada on C2’s first night.

Outside of C2, Bandido claimed victory over Ricochet on “Dynamite,” earning the Dynamite Diamond Ring and a shot at the AEW World Championship on January 14th at “Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.” A showdown between Jamie Hayter and Kris Statlander was featured ahead of their AEW Women’s World Championship match at World’s End, along with a segment where The Young Bucks announced they would be unavailable for upcoming matches, leaving Kenny Omega to handle things in 2025. The ongoing AEW World Championship 4-way feud involving Samoa Joe, “Hangman” Adam Page, Swerve Strickland, and MJF unfolded with MJF striking back against Page and Strickland, while Joe vowed to vacate the title.

“Collision” provided updates on injury statuses and welcomed back Kyle O’Reilly, who motivated Roderick Strong before his match with Castagnoli. Darby Allin returned but was attacked by Gabe Kidd, sparking a brawl and another match setup for World’s End. The show ended with FTR announcing their AEW World Tag Team Championship defense against Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn of the Bang Bang Gang at a Chicago Street Fight.
