Jim Ross Shares Improvement Update and Teases Comeback to Commentary at AEW World’s End

Jim Ross has had limited appearances in AEW this year due to ongoing health concerns, with his last appearance being at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event in August. Recently, Ross shared that he is recuperating and is optimistic about returning to commentary at an AEW event soon, confirming his attendance at the upcoming Dynamite taping in Tulsa.

With AEW World’s End approaching, fans are curious if Ross will be present. On the latest “Grilling JR” episode, Ross neither confirmed nor denied his attendance but hinted his return could be sooner rather than later. He also expressed his continued passion for calling AEW matches whenever possible.

Ross mentioned, “Working for AEW is a lot of fun. Now that I’m feeling better, you’ll likely see more of me on AEW shows, especially pay-per-views. Until recently, my health prevented me from traveling or broadcasting. Tony Khan’s way of involving me is perfect — mainly the main events, which is an honor. I’m grateful to still be active in the business as a veteran.”

While his status for World’s End remains unclear, Ross showed excitement about the AEW World Championship four-way match featuring Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, “Hangman” Adam Page, and MJF. He said, “This is an ‘All-Star Game.’ MJF, despite his attitude, is a significant figure in the industry, and I’m not betting he’ll just hand over the title.”

Fan Take: Jim Ross’s potential comeback would be thrilling for AEW fans, as his distinctive voice and experience add unmatched depth to commentary. His return could also elevate AEW’s prestige, blending rich wrestling tradition with exciting new talent, ultimately enhancing the overall fan experience.
