Ahead of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 this Sunday, Stardom, a sister promotion, will host two events at Shinjuku FACE on Saturday, January 3rd. It was announced on X that AEW star Alex Windsor will make her Stardom debut at these events.
Windsor, the newly crowned RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion, will appear in both daytime and evening shows. During the day, she will team with Starlight Kid and Sayla Mei, while in the evening, she will partner with Kikyo Furusawa. Her opponents will include Stardom regulars like Meiseira, Natsupoi, Saori Yasuo, Ann Kanaya, Konami, and Fukigendesu.
Although this marks her first match in Stardom, Windsor is no stranger to Japanese wrestling, having previously competed for Tokyo Women’s Pro Wrestling and appeared at a New Japan Pro Wrestling event in 2022. Signed to AEW since June 2025, she recently captured the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship by defeating Mercedes Mohn on "AEW Collision." Notably, Windsor is among a rare group of women who have pinned Monet in recent years—a group that continues to grow.
Windsor won’t be alone in Japan, as her husband Will Ospreay and fellow AEW wrestler Kenny Omega will attend Wrestle Kingdom to honor their former rival Hiroshi Tanahashi, who is wrestling his final match.
Fan Take: This announcement is exciting for AEW fans because it showcases the expanding international presence and influence of AEW talent, bridging U.S. and Japanese wrestling. Alex Windsor’s Stardom debut highlights AEW’s growing collaboration with top global promotions, which could lead to more thrilling cross-promotional matchups and elevate women’s wrestling worldwide.
