WWE NXT star Jevon Evans has been making waves not only within the company’s developmental system but also on the main roster. Recently, after competing against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, former WWE World Tag Team Champion AJ Styles, and Dragon Lee in the final bout of Saturday Night’s event against John Cena, Evans became a free agent. He is now exploring storyline opportunities on WWE RAW and SmackDown. On the “Battleground Podcast,” known as “The Young OG,” Evans revealed his dream WWE opponents now that he’s reached the big leagues.
Evans expressed a desire to face CM Punk, recalling his younger self’s admiration for the wrestling icon. He also highlighted Rey Mysterio as a highly valued opponent, praising Mysterio’s skill and energy despite his years in the sport, even joking about including him in the prestigious WCW legacy.
Evans, along with Sol Luka and NXT Champion Oba Femi, delivered impressive performances on Saturday Night Main Event and are reportedly set for promotion to the main roster soon, joining Joe Hendry and Trick Williams. Although Evans never held an NXT title, he was the Deadlock Pro Wrestling World Champion in 2023 under the name Jay Malachi.
Besides his matches with Styles and Dragon Lee, Evans faced GUNTHER in the opening round of the “Last Time is Now” tournament and recently won against Rayo Americano on “Raw.” He also secured a victory over The Miz on WWE SmackDown.

His dream matches with legends like CM Punk and Rey Mysterio not only excite fans but could lead to some unforgettable moments that bridge WWE’s past and future.
