Current WWE wrestlers Liv Morgan and Big E, along with former star Braun Strowman, joined forces with renowned British chef Gordon Ramsay on the latest “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the States” episode, which aired Thursday on FOX. In episode 12, Ramsay welcomed the final seven chefs by introducing these wrestling champions—Big E, a former WWE Men’s Champion; Morgan, former Women’s World Champion; and Strowman, former Universal Champion—and announced a cooking challenge themed around creating dishes that best represent each state, with the winner earning a prestigious black jacket.
Before the competition began, Ramsay asked Big E and Morgan about the qualities needed to become champions. Big E, who retired from wrestling after a cervical injury in 2022, highlighted discipline, determination, and focus. Morgan emphasized dedication to her craft, the drive to improve, and staying innovative. Strowman chose to demonstrate rather than explain his winning formula by smashing through drywall. Ramsay eliminated two chefs and awarded six black jackets, sharing a clip of this episode on his Instagram.
Notably, the episode was filmed when Morgan still held the Women’s World Championship and while Strowman was still employed by WWE before his release in May. Fans can catch “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the States” on FOX every Thursday and on Hulu the following day.
Fan Take: This crossover episode is a fascinating opportunity for WWE fans to see their favorite wrestlers showcasing different skills outside the ring, humanizing them beyond their wrestling personas. It also highlights the diverse paths wrestlers can take post-wrestling, potentially drawing new audiences to the sport and its personalities.
