WWE is reportedly considering promoting NXT standout Blake Monroe to the main roster as efforts continue to expand the talent pool on RAW and SmackDown. Recently, several NXT talents, including Monroe’s former rival Jordynne Grace, have made their way to the main shows. On January 6th, Monroe is set to challenge Thea Hale for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, and a loss could signal her upcoming call-up. Fightful Select notes that Monroe’s promotion is under discussion as the RAW and SmackDown rosters grow, with Grace already appearing on SmackDown in a backstage segment alongside Chelsea Green and WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.

Additionally, Jevon Evans officially joined WWE RAW during Netflix’s anniversary special by signing a contract, following Trick Williams’ announcement that he joined Nick Aldis’ brand on SmackDown. Oba Femi is also being subtly pushed toward the main roster with video packages hinting at his future, as he prepares to defend the NXT Championship against TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater at New Year’s Evil.

Monroe, who signed with WWE in June 2025, quickly rose to prominence in NXT, holding the North American Women’s Championship until mid-December when she lost it to Hale due to a mishap during the match. If Monroe moves up to the main roster, she hopes to challenge Liv Morgan, a RAW star she admires and sees a lot of similarities with. Monroe praised Morgan for being underrated and believes they could develop a compelling storyline together.

Morgan, who recently returned from injury, is rumored to be involved in a future feud with Stefani Vaquel and is expected to re-enter the world title picture this year. Monroe’s potential promotion to RAW aligns with recent trends, as the last two female stars elevated from NXT have joined SmackDown, with Grace and Rush Legend currently on the blue brand.
