AEW Dynamite Viewership Breakdown: December 31, 2025 Ratings Report Revealed

2 Min Read

AEW closed out 2025 with a disappointing ratings performance, as the December 31 episode of AEW Dynamite recorded one of the lowest viewership figures of the year. Programming Insider reported that the final Dynamite attracted an average of 398,000 viewers, making it the second-lowest audience count in 2025, only above the October 7 episode’s 321,000 viewers, which aired on a Tuesday rather than the normal Wednesday slot. Wrestlenomics noted that last week’s audience was 511,000, marking a 22% decline from the four-week average.

The event, held in Ralston, Nebraska, registered a 0.07 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, just above the year’s lowest rating of 0.06, seen on the December 17 show. This episode followed closely after AEW’s final pay-per-view of the year, World’s End, and featured several title defenses. It concluded with two championship matches, including AEW National Champion Ricochet retaining his title against Jack Perry, and Mercedes Mone ending Willow Nightingale’s nearly 600-day reign to claim the AEW TBS Championship. Looking ahead, the upcoming Dynamite in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will feature an ROH World Championship bout between Bandido and Sammy Guevara, along with an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match pitting Jon Moxley against Shelton Benjamin.

Fan Take: This low viewership signal is a wake-up call for AEW as it highlights the need to keep momentum strong heading into the new year. For fans, it means AEW must continue delivering compelling storylines and high-stakes matches to maintain engagement and grow its presence in the competitive wrestling world.
