WWE RAW Results (1/12/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights

Michael Cole and Corey Graves will be on commentary.

The show begins with a recap of what happened last week.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley head to the ring. Rhea Ripley welcomed everyone to Monday Night Raw and said she and IYO SKY went through a physical and mental battle with the Kabuki Warriors to prove exactly where they stood. She declares that all eyes are on the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

IYO thanked the audience and said that since Asuka and Kairi showed no respect, he was forced to instill respect into them. She added that no team in the division is ready for what they bring. Rhea says the celebration is just beginning as she issues an open challenge to the tag team in the back. That’s when Liv Morgan’s music blared and she took the stage with Roxanne Perez. Liv Morgan greets IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley and tells them how nice they are. She came to celebrate last week when she and Roxanne won the women’s tag team titles and said this was a moment worth celebrating. Liv says it’s “so cool” and encourages the audience to cheer for the new champion.

But her tone quickly changes. Liv says the only problem she has is that those championships are actually hers. She claims to be one half of the greatest women’s tag team champions of all time and claims to have never lost the titles. Liv tells IYO and Rhea that they have two options. Either give her the title the easy way, or deal with her in a harsh way.

Just then, Lyra Valkyrie and Bayley head to the ring. Bayley welcomed Liv back and began her trademark laugh as the crowd chanted “Bayley”. She tells Liv that while she may claim she never lost the title, her partner did. Bayley points out that she defeated Roxanne a few weeks ago and says that if anyone has earned a chance at the title, it’s her and Lyla.

Rhea interrupts and says she came to give a challenge to whoever wants it. IYO came forward and said he had this and started speaking in Japanese. It causes chaos and Liv, Roxanne, Bayley, and Lila argue at the same time. Suddenly, Asuka and Kairi Sane appear and drag Rhea and IYO out of the ring. Rhea and IYO return to the ring and set their sights on Roxanne. IYO rocked her with a sharp Shoutei, Rhea followed up with a suplex, and IYO finished with a double dropkick.

Jackie Redmond was backstage with AJ Styles and asked him about his match with Gunther and why it became so personal. AJ says he realized this is all about respect: respect for the ring, respect for his opponents, and respect for those who paved the way for him. He admits that he and John Cena don’t always see eye to eye, but they bond over their shared respect. According to AJ, he felt justified in slapping Gunter because he never showed that attitude toward Cena. AJ promises to teach Gunter the true meaning of respect. He finished by saying he was going to make Gunther tap out…”like a bitch.”

Liv asks Finn if he saw what they did to get the title match. Finn barely looks up, focused on his video game. Liv asks him what he’s doing and if what he said last week was just an argument. She told him that he was done waiting for a title opportunity and that he should quit the game. Roxanne supports her and tells Finn that Liv has a point. Finn finally responds and says to see what he does next.

After the match, Evans prevented Rayo from getting involved, but Grande and Rayo quickly dragged him to the floor and forced him to lie on the announce table. Grande barks out instructions as Bravo and Rayo regroup. Evans suddenly appeared, climbed the ringside barricade, jumped over both the announce table and Grande, and fled back through the ring to avoid further damage.

Paul replies that if Bron shows up with malicious intentions, he will give him a message.

After surviving a fight with Bron Breaker, Punk claims that Bron is firmly in the rearview mirror and now it’s time to do the “champion’s work.”

Punk says he’s ready for his next challenger. Just then, Finn Balor’s music hits and he heads to the ring. Finn and Punk form a circle in the ring.

Finn says the wait is over – he’s not waiting for the Royal Rumble, he’s not waiting for Elimination Chamber, he’s not asking for handouts. Punk says he has a challenger who wants to test him, and Finn says he’s here.

Punk fired back, saying he had mentioned Finn’s name once on a long list of challengers, but that was two months ago. He asks where Finn has been since then. Punk says Finn is playing video games, worrying about Dominic and JD, and polishing Liv’s boots. Punk says he watched Finn get beat up in the wargames last week, and now all of a sudden he thinks he’s ready. Punk asks if his match with Finn will really be one-on-one or if it will be Finn and Judgment Day. He added that he has already dealt with the numbers game before.

Punk then changes his tone and says that he actually respects Finn and has always been a fan of his. He promised to be a fighting champion yesterday and he was a fighting champion today, so he went to the back, laced up his boots, and said he was going to fight tonight.

Finn replies that timing is everything. He says he’s not jumping the line to go punk, the line starts with him. He tells Punk not to worry about Dom or JD, but admits he is not alone. Finn has watched Punk grow up with home field advantage in Chicago, but said next week will be in Belfast. It’s Punk vs. Prince, and Finn promises there will be a new Irish world champion.

Punk is accepted. He apologized to the Düsseldorf fans who were expecting the championship match tonight. He then added that he wanted to apologize in advance to the people of Belfast…because he was going to beat his Belfast compatriots with the GTS.

A video package will air highlighting the rivalry between AJ Styles and Gunter.
