Paige Collette is not just a character on JCW Lunacy; her real-life journey is truly astonishing.

In a heartfelt conversation with Vince Russo, the female fan known as “Ring Rat” shared her experience of having died during surgery—and her assertion that she met Jesus. Paige, who battles a rare neurological condition called CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome), described an encounter that left Russo utterly speechless. This former ballerina, turned wrestler, revealed that during her operation, she coded while doctors were still learning about her illness.

“I was in surgery, coding… At that time, I didn’t believe in God. But when I regained consciousness and told the medical team what I had seen, they informed me, ‘You don’t dream during surgery; we almost lost you.’”

What followed was nothing short of extraordinary. According to her, it wasn’t exactly heaven, but something akin to it.

“It felt like a lavender cloud… complete tranquility… no pain. A multitude of smiling faces… I felt an overwhelming sense of love. Pure love enveloped me.”

“Then, Jesus approached me. I was hesitant to look at him. I thought, ‘I don’t believe in you. Why are you here? Go to someone more deserving.’ He replied, ‘You are loved. It’s not your time yet. I want you to do this.’ Then I returned.”

Now, Colette believes her life has a greater purpose—one that extends beyond the wrestling ring. She is penning a book titled Fighting CRPS, with proceeds intended to support research into rare diseases. While her JCW persona may draw attention, her true calling is both spiritual and deeply personal.

“I had lost my faith, but God made Himself known to me.”

In a landscape filled with theatrical stories, Paige Collette’s journey is undeniably authentic. Regardless of one’s beliefs regarding near-death experiences, it’s clear she’s facing challenges far beyond the scripted narrative.
