WWE Hall of Famer JBL might be stepping back into the ring more frequently, but it’s not with WWE.
According to the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in negotiations to join Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW) as a full-time performer, having made some surprise appearances in recent years.
JCW is reportedly hoping to have Layfield appear regularly on their weekly television program, which would mark his first full-time wrestling role since he retired following WrestleMania 25 in 2009.
JBL has already taken several steps suggesting a return. He made his first in-ring appearance in over ten years at the Wrestle Cade Super Show in November 2025, winning a battle royal. Previously, he showed up at JCW in October 2024, leading fans to speculate about future appearances.
Recently, JBL visited the OVW training facility, where he trained with Jodi Malenko and Al Snow, sharing footage of his first wrestling impact in 16 years.
His last full-time match in WWE was in 2009, where he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 25. Though he made a short comeback at the 2014 Royal Rumble, he has primarily been involved with WWE as an ambassador and commentator while pursuing business and charitable ventures.
Now, it seems the veteran is gearing up for one final challenge, and this time it’s with one of wrestling’s more unconventional promotions.
