This guy truly masters his craft.

Former TNA star Josh Alexander joined AEW last year and quickly aligned himself with the Don Callis family. While Alexander has yet to capture a championship or make a major solo impact, he has maintained a strong presence on AEW television, including a recent bout against Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite. During an appearance on “Busted Open Radio,” Alexander credited much of his progress to his collaboration with Don Callis.

“You have to admit, this guy really knows what he’s doing. He’s very clever,” Alexander remarked. “I’ve worked closely with Don over the past nine months and learned a great deal from him.”

Although Alexander and Callis were both part of TNA for a time, they only worked together briefly. Alexander revealed that a promo Callis helped craft was a turning point for him.

“Don gave me a small piece of advice, and when we did another take, it just clicked and looked perfect,” Alexander explained. “It was a little tweak he suggested, and I thought, ‘Wow, this guy is sharp.’ As soon as I got to AEW and the chance came up, I was all in.”

Though Alexander came up short in his match against Omega, he wasn’t disappointed. Facing Omega was one of his goals in AEW, and now he can check that off his list.
