Ex-WWE Wrestler Aliyah Puts Entire Ring Gear Up for Sale, Sparking Retirement Speculations

2 Min Read

Nouf Al Areibi, known to WWE fans as Aaliyah, appears to be quietly stepping back from her professional wrestling career, with her recent actions offering significant hints. She recently announced on her fan platform that she intends to sell off all her wrestling-related merchandise, including action figures, ring gear, and boots, inviting fans interested in these items to contact her directly. This kind of clearance of belongings rarely happens without meaning, leading many to speculate that her time in the ring may be coming to an end.

WWE released Al Areibi in 2023, and she hasn’t competed in WWE matches since September 2022. Her last WWE bout was a tag team match alongside Raquel Rodriguez, during which Dakota Kai and IYO SKY lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Notably, she was dealing with a first rib protrusion injury and an AC sprain at that time.

Since her WWE departure, Al Areibi’s in-ring appearances have been limited, with just two matches in the Ontario-based Destiny Wrestling promotion. One of those bouts included a women’s title defense against Zaida Steele in February 2025, which might now stand as her final match. For a wrestler still in her early 30s, the decision to sell all remaining wrestling gear is a major signal and may indicate that she is closing the chapter on her wrestling career.

Is this the end of Aliyah’s journey in the ring, or is she simply making space for a new phase in her life? Share your thoughts and let us know if you hope to see her compete again.

Fan Take: For WWE fans, Aaliyah’s potential retirement marks the loss of a distinctive and talented performer who added depth to the women’s division. Her departure could open doors for emerging stars but also reminds us of the physical toll wrestling takes, underscoring the importance of health and career longevity in the sport.
