Now let’s take a look at what happened in last week’s main event, where Cody Rhodes pinned Sami Zayn to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match despite interference from Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

Cody Rhodes’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Cody then picks up the microphone and asks the fans what they want to talk about. Then, before Cody could say anything, Jacob Fatu’s music interrupted. Jacob then enters the ring and confronts Cody. Jacob tells Cody to keep it at 100. And Jacob says if it wasn’t for Drew, you wouldn’t be here talking about Elimination Chamber. Jacob then says he beat Cody and Sami last week. Jacob then says he was walking with W and Jacob says he knows it and Cody knows it too. Jacob then says he’s not worried about Cody, he’s worried about Drew McIntyre. Jacob tells Drew to bring his punk bastard here.

Nick Aldis then came out and told Drew he gave him the night off. Then Nick says he didn’t want to do it because Drew is the champion. Nick then said they can’t risk anything because Chamber is around the corner and WrestleMania is right around the corner. Nick says it’s Cody’s time so they can go to the office and talk about getting Drew. Drew then says that Cody and Fatu can’t keep the champion’s name out of their mouths. Drew then shows up in the suite. Drew then says that he appreciates the night off, but that he can do whatever he wants. Drew then says he loves Smackdown so much that he bought an entire suite to watch the show. Drew then tells Jacob that he heard him slip up and that he is here. Then Drew says you guys are just barking and not getting bitten. Then Drew said, “What are you going to do?”

Fatu then left the ring and attacked security in an attempt to stop him. Nick then tells security to get Drew out of here. He then takes Drew out of the building and says they can talk. Drew then says the whole world is against him because he’s the champion. Then Drew says they’re jealous of him because he’s the champion. Then Drew says everyone wants to be him because he’s the champion. Cody then says that just because he’s the champion doesn’t mean the world is chasing him. Cody says they’re after him because he’s a badass. Cody’s music then hits and Drew holds the title in the air.

We then see a clip from last week’s SmackDown where MFT won a 10-man tag team match.

Then we head backstage to Carmelo Hayes and Ilya Dragunov. Elijah tells Hayes that he is the United States Champion, that he is himself, and that if he takes a shot, he won’t miss. Elijah then told Hayes that he was going to win the preliminaries, enter the Elimination Chamber, and go straight to WrestleMania. Hayes then tells Elijah that he doesn’t need Elijah to tell him what he should be. Hayes then tells Elijah he won’t miss it. Elijah then tells Hayes that he believes in him, but what doesn’t happen is him going to WrestleMania as United States Champion.
