AEW Dynamite Results (April 1, 2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens with Pyro interrupting Tony Schiavone and welcoming us to the comments introducing MJF and Kenny Omega signing with the AEW Dynasty. Judas then began to perform, revealing the return of Chris Jericho. The audience then sings along to his theme as he descends into the ring. When the music finally stops, the crowd starts shouting his name, “Welcome home,” and he acknowledges them, leading to another big pop. Jericho then poses some more as the crowd chants “Welcome home” since he’s from Winnipeg. Jericho then grabs the microphone and addresses the crowd for the last time.

Jericho then said, “Winnipeg, AEW, I’m home,” and belted out a string of hits as the crowd cheered even more. Afterwards, the comments mentioned his return for the first time in about a year.

We then head to the back and see Will Ospreay chasing Jon Moxley. Wheeler Yuta then attempts to defuse the situation, but is sent into several barrels before the guards arrive and take control of the situation. Then we went back to ringside and they pulled him away.

MJF then went down to the ring to begin signing the contract, followed quickly by Kenny Omega. Afterwards, the two sat across the table from each other and apparently were able to sign the contract smoothly. Omega then interrupts MJF when he tries to speak and berates him for always having something to say. And Omega acknowledged MJF’s comments about how good business is in AEW. Omega admits that’s true, but says it’s because people come to see the best pro wrestling, not because of MJF. Omega then recalled sharing personal news with his fans about his health and praised them for being by his side. Kenny Omega then vows to be the one to take MJF down a notch or two and says he’s the one to make sure MJF never gets close to the AEW World Title again.

MJF then taunts Omega and asks, “This is 100% Kenny Omega” and laughs. And MJF said Omega could suffer a career-ending injury just like his “injury-prone boyfriend” Kota Ibushi. MJF then spills some trivia about Omega. He then asks fans to speculate as to why Omega is more eager to become AEW World Champion than anyone else on the roster, and it’s because Omega has been examined by a doctor. MJF then stated that doctors told Omega that his diverticulitis was so bad that his intestines could rupture at any time, anywhere, and that his career was a ticking time bomb. MJF then stated that all of Kenny Omega’s disciples would be ashamed of him on Dynasty. MJF then says Omega is better off dead. Omega is ready to attack and MJF is ready to be attacked with a clause that if Omega touches him the match will be cancelled.

Then “Speedball” Mike Bailey interfered and stopped him. He then calls out MJF to provoke Omega. And he says without Kenny there is no AEW and without AEW there is no MJF. Bayley then challenges MJF to hit Sense on her. Omega then admitted that he was missing 24 inches of his gut, and there was truth in his statement. Omega then says that it’s better to have no intestines than balls. This infuriates MJF, who accepts Bayley’s challenge, but says he’s not just facing the old MJF, he’s facing an American hero. MJF’s music then plays as he exits the ring.

Demand then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Brody King and Jack Perry.

Trio match: Jurassic Express AEW National Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Brody King, “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun)

The match starts with Omega and Kaun, with Kaun trapping Omega in a side headlock. Omega fights back with one of his own before hitting the ropes, but Ricochet catches him with a knee to distract him. Kaun then hits some shots and tags in with Liona and him and Ricochet double team Omega. Omega then dodges Ricochet’s attack and makes the tag to Brody King, who then hits Ricochet with a hard hit. He then goes for a cover, but GOA breaks it up. They then go after King, sending King out of the ring, where Omega also tries to intervene, but Perry hits a moonsault on his remaining opponent.

This creates an opening for Ricochet and King steps into the ring. King then counters with a suplex before Riona steps in and the rest joins in with a chain suplex before Omega hits the move and slams everyone to the mat. Perry stands up first, but he is sent flying out of bounds, where he is blindsided by Riona. Demand corners Perry and continues to beat Perry. Liona goes legal and drops Perry for a cover and a two count. The beatdown then ensues until Perry makes the tag to Omega, who breaks free, and then makes the tag to Kaun. He then drives Ricochet into the corner and gets a near fall from Kaun, but Riona is right there to break it up. Liona then gets the tag, but The King comes out and The Demand is stuffed in the corner and takes a huge shot from The King. Omega goes for a cover with this, but Riona kicks out at two. The tag is then made to Ricochet as Toa runs down Perry and Omegus and Ricochet hits a dive on King.

Both men get back in the ring, Kaun takes down King with a dropkick, and Ricochet hits a moonsault on Omega for a nearfall. Perry then pulls Ricochet out of the ring followed by GOA going over the ropes for a dive. They then catch him in the air, but are dropped to the floor by King’s dive, and Omega goes for a dive himself, only to be dropped by Ricochet. He then kicked King off the apron before hitting a dive. Ricochet gets up and climbs the turnbuckle for a 450, but gets hit with a knee instead. The V-Trigger is then avoided, but the reverse rana is not avoided and Ricochet is dropped to the canvas.

Outside the ring, Riona and King engaged in a battle, with King forcing Riona over the timekeeper table. Back in the ring, Ricochet hits Omega with a thrust kick and an enziguiri, followed by a Vertigo, but Omega kicks out before the third hit. Kaun then handed the National Championship to Ricochet, but Perry stopped him long enough for Omega to prepare the One-Winged Angel. Ricochet then reverses and hits a rana for two, but gets sent into the ropes with a V-Trigger followed by a One-Winged Angel, giving Omega the win.

The winners of the trio match are Jurassic Express AEW National Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Brody King, and “Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega!

After the match, Perry, King, and Omega celebrate their victory.

AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale then cut a promo and stated that she would like to defend her title tomorrow night at Collision, but her opponent has not yet been decided.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are interviewed by Renee Paquette, and Copeland says it’s not the night. They then say they came to eliminate FTR and rush off with Christian.

He then follows Christian Cage and Adam Copeland to FTR’s locker room, where they encounter RPG Vice instead. Romero and Trent say that while FTR will be competing at Collision tomorrow night, they will have a message for the champion. Cage then says that these guys are a nuisance and that the message they left is a chair shot against two members of the Don Callis family. Cage and Coop then exit the locker room and return to ringside.

PAC then makes his way through the crowd and down to the ring for the night’s next match, hearing a message from Renee Paquette who relays a message from PAC. Will Ospreay then goes down to the ring, but PAC runs up behind Ospreay and blindfolds him on the ramp.

Officials and medical personnel then came out to check on the Osprey, who slowly moved around and asked for space. The big focus here was on Ospreay’s neck, and you could hear the doctor telling Ospreay he didn’t have to go, but that wasn’t the case as Ospreay started making his way to the ring. The crowd then shouted his name as Ospreay was told by doctors to back away, but he simply slid into the ring anyway. Ospreay then insisted he was fine and the referee called for the gong to start the match.

Single match: Death Riders “The Bastard” PAC vs. “Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay

The match starts with PAC driving Ospreay into the ropes and stomping him to the neck. The referee then intervened to check on Ospreay, but Ospreay insisted he was fine even if PAC started chasing him. PAC traps Ospreay in a cravat before Ospreay finally breaks free and heads to the corner. Ospreay then hits a forearm from the ropes and covers, but PAC kicks out at two. PAC then hits some shots before being sent to the corner, but Ospreay fights back out of the corner before hitting a suplex of his own with a counter suplex. Osprey then hits a 450, but only for two.

Ospreay stands up and sends PAC out of the box, but PAC intercepts both attacks in the corner. Ospreay then goes for a diving sunset powerbomb, but PAC blocks it and hits a DDT with a moonsault, sending Ospreay to the floor below. The referee started counting and both men went down. PAC then goes back to the 8 count and Ospreay slips in at the last minute, but PAC traps him with the Brutalizer. Ospreay then crawls up and puts his foot on the ropes, forcing a break. Both men then exchange shots in the center of the ring. Ospreay then misses a kick and PAC hits a German suplex for a two count.

PAC then hits the ropes but is caught by Ospreay, who twists him around with a powerbomb for a near fall himself. Ospreay then takes down PAC again, only to get two more for his efforts. Ospreay then heads for the corner, but PAC intercepts him, says some strong words to someone in the crowd, puts Ospreay on top and hits a poison rana, which Ospreay lands from the spot. He then charges at PAC and PAC hits a hurricanrana for two. They then exchange attacks until PAC gets a two count and takes Ospreay down hard. He then went up top and hit Black Arrow with the Brutalizer, catching Ospreay on the ropes until he got up.

Then he returns to the canvas. The referee then checks on Ospreay, but Ospreay doesn’t give up even as he stretches his legs toward the ropes, allowing PAC to roll through and send Ospreay back to the middle of the ropes. Ospreay then countered for the pin and got the three count for the win.

The winner of the single match is “Aerial Assassin” Ospreay!

After the match, with no time to celebrate, after the bell rings, PAC attacks Will Ospreay, followed by the rest of the Death Riders. Claudio Castagnoli then wraps a chair around Ospreay’s neck, but Moxley holds him back far enough to get the microphone. Then Moxley said, there’s six of us here, what do you think is going to happen? Say.

And while this could have been a very bad situation, he said he was going to give Ospreay some advice and that was to use his head next time or he would lose. The Death Riders then made their way through the crowd, leaving Ospreay in the ring, and a graphic revealed that Moxley would face Anthony Bowens in a Continental Title Eliminator match tomorrow at Collision.

A commentary will then explain tonight’s schedule.

Triangle of Madness then descends into the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds.

Trio match: Mina Shirakawa & The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor) vs. Triangle of Madness (AEW Women’s World Champion “The Toxic Spider” Tekla, Julia Hart, Sky Blue)

The match begins with Mina Shirakawa targeting Tekla first, but Tekla quickly dodges her attacks and Sky Blue makes a tag. Blue fights Shirakawa in the corner, but Shirakawa manages to fight back before hitting a clothesline. A tag is then made to Windsor who hits the ropes, and a blind tag from Hayter double-teams the Brawling Birds for a near fall. Shirakawa then assists and gets the tag, hitting Blue with a tourneo for a 2 count. Blue then fights off Shirakawa before knocking Brawling Birds off the apron, which gives Tekla the opportunity to put a boot to Shirakawa’s head. He then returns Shirakawa to the ring.

All six women then hit chain suplexes, sending each other to the mat. Windsor and Thekla are up first and trade shots until Shirakawa makes a revenge tag on Thekla. She then takes Thekla to the mat and goes for a figure four leglock, but Triangle of Madness runs to the save and all six fight back. Shirakawa and Tecla then end the match again and they knock each other to the mat as the referee starts counting. They then go back to tag to Hart and Hater, but Brawling Bird has to deal with Thecla, who is trying to use brass knuckles. They then stopped it before taking Blue and Thekla out, and Hater hit Hart with the Haterade for the win.

Next, let’s take a look at the Blackjack Battle Royal and the situation between Juice Robinson and Tommaso Ciampa before the two face off tomorrow at Collision.

Then we go back to ringside and Darby Allin comes out with a microphone. Arin keeps pressing the gas pedal until he meets God, but since God isn’t there, he says he wants to talk to the devil. Allin then talks about MJF’s deal with the Don Callis family and how he hopes anyone can take down MJF to stop this BS run he’s a part of. Allin then calls MJF, but meets the Don Callis family instead. Callis then talks about how much they are being paid to help MJF and that MJF has hand-picked members of the Don Callis family scheduled to face Allin on Dynasty. And if Allin wins, he says MJF would be willing to give him a shot at the world title after defeating Kenny Omega, and that the hand-picked member to face Allin is Andrade El Idro.

Andrade El Idro seems surprised by this, but Don Callis says that he was given a good deal of money to take Arin out now, and Don Callis and his family go after him. They then start chasing Allin as Brody King comes out to make the save, forcing the Don Callis Family to retreat before Kenny Omega comes out to ringside.

Kenny Omega then heads to commentary and MJF makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night. Mike Bailey then follows, but MJF blindsides him before this match begins.

AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: AEW World Champion MJF vs. Jet Speed’s AEW World Trios Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey

Early in the match, Bayley starts to fight back, but as soon as MJF takes control, Bayley is sent flying out of bounds. MJF then brings Bayley back into the ring, and Bayley blocks and sends MJF into the ropes for a hurricanrana, but MJF counters with a powerbomb for two. MJF then tries to get Bayley to her feet, but she trips. MJF then hits a thumb in the eye, but takes a series of kicks from Bayley in response before being sent to the mat. Bayley then continued her furious attack with a standing shooting star press for a two count. Bayley then slams her into the ropes and hits MJF with a thrust kick to the face, dragging her to the floor below.

The referee then starts counting, but Bayley takes MJF back into the ring and kicks her again, putting MJF out. Bayley then goes up top, but MJF rolls out of the way onto the apron, hanging Bayley over the ropes in the process. MJF then goes for a backbreaker, but Bayley counters and gets a two count. MJF then gets a near fall, but Bayley hits a straight jacket for a two count and MJF kicks out. Bayley then goes to the ropes and MJF goes for the Heat Seeker, but Bayley goes for a free Liger Bomb but gets a near fall. A check from the referee takes them both down and Bayley rolls into the ropes, but MJF blocks her. MJF then goes for the Heatseeker, but settles for a low dropkick instead of dropping Bayley to the floor.

He then spots Omega during commentary and flips him over before going back to the ropes and looking for another Heatseeker on Bayley. Bayley then fights back and sends MJF to the floor. Bayley then regained control and readied her Ultima Weapon, but MJF rolled out of the way, only to receive a kick from Bayley. Another hit sends MJF into the corner, which allows him to hit the Ultima Weapon off the ropes and Bayley covers for a two count. MJF then hits a Tombstone Piledriver and sends Bayley to the apron, looks at Omega and yells “God Bless America” before hitting Bayley with the Heat Seeker for the win.

Winner of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Match, AEW World Champion MJF!

After the match, MJF celebrated his victory for a split second before attacking Bayley, but Omega managed to force him out of the ring. MJF then held his title high and told Omega to consider his future before heading to the rear. As the commentary for tomorrow night’s special edition of Collision plays, a medic comes out to check on Bailey.
