AEW Dynasty Results (April 12, 2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights
AEW Dynasty opens with a pyro firing on stage as Excalibur responds to commentary from Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone.
The Young Bucks then go down to the ring for the first PPV match, followed by Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada.
Tag match: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) vs. Don Callis Family (AEW International Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada and New Japan Pro Wrestling World Television Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita)
The match begins with the pairing of Konosuke Takeshita and Nick Jackson, with Takeshita quickly taking control before being double-teamed by Kazuchika Okada. Okada then glared at Takeshita and went back to working on Nick, taking him down before taunting Matt Jackson. As Nick begins to fight back, Takeshita steps in to assist and knocks down both of them before teaming up with Matt. The Young Bucks then take down Okada before Takeshita is brought in, take him down with a combo German suplex sunset flip, and clothesline him outside. Okada heads to the ring next, but they both take dives from Nick. The Young Bucks then bring Takeshita back into the ring and pose as the Indy Takers, and Nick ducks a dropkick from Okada and knocks Takeshita to the mat, but Takeshita gets a near fall to the mat and Okada takes Nick out of the ring.
The crowd lets Don Callis know what they think as Takeshita lays Matt out with a clothesline and then throws in Okada. Okada distracts the referee and Takeshita takes Matt to the announce desk, where Callis tries to gouge Matt’s eyes out. Takeshita then brings him back into the ring and Okada sends him into the corner with a boot to the face. Okada drops him to the mat for a two count and grapples Takeshita, but he avoids an attack from the corner and sends him out of the ring. Takeshita then drags Matt out of the ring to prevent him from making the tag, and Matt counters with a Stunner. He then slides into the ring, but we see Okada take Nick off the apron and taunt the Young Bucks with a headband and arm tassel.
He then stepped onto the apron and gave Matt the tag, flipping him over and Matt responded by driving him off the apron to the floor. Takeshita then gives chase, Okada joins in, and Matt takes them both down with a bulldog and a tag to Nick. Okada and Takeshita then send him to the ropes, but he counters and sends Takeshita into the corner. Nick takes things even further, sending Okada to the canvas and following up with a cutter for a near fall before Takeshita breaks it up. Okada and Takeshita then send the Young Bucks to the apron, but the Young Bucks counter with two Sharpshooters.
Okada and Takeshita then start slapping each other to keep from passing out, and both reach the ropes for a break. Okada steps out of the ring as the Young Bucks target Takeshita, but Okada comes back with a backbreaker and hits a superkick to the face. The Young Bucks then send Okada as well as Takeshita to the mat, but Takeshita kicks out with a double splash and only gets a two count. The Young Bucks then go for the TK Driver, but Okada gets involved and takes the Young Bucks down with Takeshita and a few Tombstone Piledrivers. Takeshita then scores a pin, but only gets a two count.
Matt then gets up on the turnbuckle and starts fighting off Okada and Takeshita. Takeshita then hits Matt with an avalanche German suplex, but Nick dropskicks Takeshita to make the save. Takeshita then hits a power knee to the mat and Okada hits a boot to the face, but Nick pushes Okada onto Takeshita and breaks up the pin. Okada then managed to get a tag while chasing Matt, setting up for an elbow drop before giving people a bird salute. He goes for a Rainmaker Lariat, but Matt counters it. Tombstone’s attempt is blocked by a kick from Nick and he goes for a German suplex on Okada.
Takeshita then tightens with a waistlock of his own, but Matt ends the combo with a sunset flip, sending the rest to the canvas. Takeshita follows Matt to his feet, but Nick hits a Canadian Destroyer on his brother’s back and the Young Bucks get a knee kick from Takeshita. Okada returns as all four men exchange blows in the center of the ring. Takeshita and Okada fire back at each other and this leads to a confrontation that quickly boils over as they land shots at each other. Matt then comes in to gain the advantage, but the pair turn their attention to Matt instead until Okada nearly flattens Takeshita with a Rainmaker.
This causes Matt to spin Okada twice, and the Young Bucks dodge Takeshita’s knee kick and hit Okada. The Young Bucks take control here, but Okada chases Matt with another Rainmaker hat and accidentally knocks down Takeshita. The Young Bucks then hit the BTE trigger, but only two were effective. He then goes for a TK Driver, but Takeshita grabs Nick’s ankle and lets him go, allowing the Young Bucks to hit a TK Driver and win.
The winners of the tag team match are The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)!
After the match, the Young Bucks celebrated before leaving the ring, and Takeshita was able to flick Okada off before leaving the ring as well. Then Callis gets in the ring and checks on Okada.
We then move on to a video package highlighting Jericho’s return to face Ricochet next on Dynasty.
Ricochet then makes his way down to the ring for his next PPV match against The Demand, followed by Chris Jericho.
Single match: Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet from The Demand
The match begins with Jericho soaking in the praise of the Vancouver fans before circling the mat with Ricochet. Jericho then landed an armdrag that sent Ricochet to the canvas, which sparked chants of “We’re done yet.” He then answered “Never Lose” into a nearby camera before Ricochet chased Jericho. Jericho then responds to the “bald” chant by acknowledging that Ricochet has no hair on his head. Later, when Ricochet goes to the referee, Jericho asks for a camera and Jericho informs him that Ricochet is bald. Ricochet then gets a side headlock on Jericho before going to the ropes, but Ricochet tries to show off by just taking Jericho’s big chop, so Jericho avoids the attack.
Ricochet then tries to fight back, but gets hit with a dropkick from Jericho, who gets distracted by the crowd and gets sent flying onto the apron by Ricochet. Ricochet and Jericho then fight on the apron, with Ricochet hitting the Death Valley Driver, sending Jericho into the hardest part of the ring. The referee then saw Jericho slowly stirring, and as the referee reached the count of 9, Bishop Coun was seen standing nearby and Jericho slipped into the ring again and left the ring, breaking the count. Jericho now has an arm advantage and the referee checks him, but Ricochet sees an opening by going for the arm and sending Jericho into the ring steps.
Ricochet then brought Jericho back into the ring and followed him with a low dropkick in the corner, taunting the fans before stomping on Jericho. He then continued to tackle Jericho, driving Jericho into the ropes to the chagrin of the crowd. Jericho then fights back with a chop, but gets hit with a boot to the face by Ricochet before being sent back to the ropes. Jericho is then pulled off the ropes by the referee, but Jericho appears to be trying to regain feeling in his arm, creating an opening for Toa Riona to go for it instead. Ricochet then tries to continue this beatdown, but gets a boot out of the corner, allowing Jericho to reach the ropes. He then avoided a dropkick from Ricochet and went for a lionsault into a pop from the crowd.
He then sends Ricochet back into the wall, but Ricochet fights back and sends him into the corner. Jericho then brought Ricochet back to the canvas and mocked him by putting his hair over Ricochet’s face as the crowd cheered. He then hits a spine tap and goes to the corner, but Ricochet intercepts him with a locomotion suplex. Jericho then manages to counter out and he goes for the wall as Riona jumps on the apron to distract the referee. Bishop Kaun then sends Jericho flying into the corner and gets out of the ring, giving Ricochet a two count. Ricochet then pushes Jericho back hard, only to get another near fall before Jericho kicks out. Jericho then fought back as the crowd chanted “Y2J” and hit Ricochet with a code breaker for a two count.
Ricochet starts to fight back, but a chop from Jericho sends him into the corner and sends him across the ring, where he is propped up against the center turnbuckle and hit with a mounted punch and a hurricanrana. Ricochet then blocked a Codebreaker and gave Vertigo a set of kicks and suplexes in the corner, but it only worked for a near fall. Ricochet then goes to the corner and goes up top, but Jericho intercepts him. Jericho then hits a chop, but Ricochet bites him on the nose and sends him flying. He then jumps off the top rope and hits a Shooting Star Press and a Code Breaker from Jericho. Jericho then goes for a cover, but Ricochet kicks out at two.
Jericho then heads to the corner and calls for Ricochet to stand up, but Ricochet goes down. He then gears up for the walls of Jericho. Ricochet then crawls to the ropes for a break, but Jericho holds him down until GOA gets involved and is able to pull Ricochet to the ropes. Jericho then fought back, sending all three men out of the box and diving off the top turnbuckle as the crowd cheered. He then sends Riona into the barricade and hits a Judas Effect on Bishop, but Riona fights back and nails him with a clothesline and brings him back into the ring. Ricochet then hits a Shooting Star Press, but Jericho kicks out at two. Ricochet gets up and fires a Spirit Gun at Jericho, but GOA demands more damage, so he prevents his own pinfall. Ricochet then hit a Lionsault on Jericho for the win.
Winner of the singles match, Ricochet from The Demand!
After the match, Ricochet celebrates with GOA.
We then get a video package promoting the upcoming match between Darby Allin and Andrade El Idro.
Andrade El Idro then makes his way down to the ring for his next match on PPV, followed by Darby Allin.
Singles match (if Allin wins, he will be awarded a future AEW World Championship match): Don Callis Family’s Andrade El Idro vs. Darby Allin
The match starts with both men locked up until Andrade sends Allin to the corner. Allin then fights back with a side headlock as Andrade tries to fight back. Allin then gets an arm squeeze and gets a hammerlock, and Andrade wraps his arms around him and does a surfboard stretch. Allin then tries to get out of it, but is pulled back before being slammed to the canvas by Andrade. Andrade then sends Allin to the ropes and does a tranquilo pose on the other side, but Allin charges and sends Andrade to the floor. Andrade then fights back by slamming Allin into the barricade.
Andrade then notices a woman checking him out at ringside, and decides to further impress her by picking up Allin before walking up the ring steps. He then sent Allin into the ring before taking a selfie with a fan, which allowed Allin to slam into Andrade, hurting inside and out as he crashed to the floor. Allin sent Andrade into the crowd and dragged him up the stairs until Andrade began to fight back with Allin on his shoulders and stood up. Allin then slips out and hits a dropkick that sends Andrade flying down the stairs. Allin then returns to the steps first as well, taking a bit of damage as he brings Andrade back to ringside.
He then sends Andrade into the corner, but Andrade hits a knee to the face before he can hit a vertical suplex. He then goes for Amigo’s No. 2 as the crowd chants “Eddie,” and with a split second of understanding sends Allin into Amigo’s No. 3 turnbuckle. Despite this, Allin manages to fight back with a Stunner on Andrade. Allin then heads for the corner but is caught by Andrade, who sends Allin crashing to the canvas for a crossface. Andrade quickly hits the bottom rope with a boot to force a break. He then goes outside, but gets hit with a dive from Allin and is forced into the announce desk. Allin then follows with a bite, climbs on top and hits a dropkick that sends Andrade flying off the chair he was sitting on and crashes into the barricade.
They then brought Andrade back into the ring and they exchanged battles on the apron, before Andrade slammed Allin to the floor with a vertical suplex, prompting chants of “holy shit” from the crowd. The referee then checked on both men before starting the count, and at eight o’clock Andrade was seen getting up and bringing Allin back into the ring. As Andrade gets up, Allin catches him in the corner and charges at full speed for Meteora, but Allin manages to kick out at two. As the crowd yells, “Take your pants off,” Andrade stands up, hears the crowd, and goes for a moonsault, but Allin tries to avoid it. Andrade then managed to hit a second one, resulting in a near fall. Both men get to their feet and trade strikes until Allin falls into the corner and receives a chop from Andrade.
Allin then reverses into a Scorpion Deathdrop with Sliced Bread. He followed up with a coffin drop and a cover, but Andrade grabbed the referee’s arm and stopped the count. Allin stands up and goes for a code red, but gets countered by Andrade’s back elbow and gets two. Andrade then goes for a DM, but Allin manages to counter this and hits a deep clutch to nail Andrade for the win.
Single match winner Darby Allin!
After the game, Andrade, like Darby Allin, stood up, frustrated but surprised. He eventually offered Allin a handshake, which Allin accepted in a show of sportsmanship. Andrade then leaves the ring and shakes his head as Allin celebrates his victory and heads up the ramp.
We then get a video package promoting Cage & Coop challenging FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
The crowd then sings along to his theme as Adam Copeland steps down to the ring for his next match on the PPV. Christian Cage goes down to the ring next, followed by FTR with Stokely.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax the Ax Harwood) (c) vs. Cage and Coop (Christian Cage and “The R.Superstar” Adam Copeland)
The match begins with Adam Copeland and Cash Wheeler, both men quickly trading strikes before Dax Harwood and Christian Cage get into a brawl. Copeland then follows Wheeler back as the crowd sings “O Canada,” teams up with Cage, and double-teams Wheeler for a near-fall. Wheeler then rushes out of the ring to take a breather, and Copeland tags back in and yells at the cameras before Copeland follows and sends Wheeler into the barricade. He then brings Wheeler back into the ring, but steals a hanging DDT from Wheeler, who follows up with a stomp.
Harwood then gets the tag as FTR double-teams Copeland and has him stand on the apron to do more damage as the crowd starts chanting “Bold” against Harwood or Stokely. Harwood then takes Copeland to the mat and goes for a chinlock, but Copeland struggles to break free. He then hits a back suplex on Harwood one last time, and Harwood gets the tag to Wheeler just as Copeland makes the tag in the cage. He then steals an FTR near the ropes, drives a boot into his opponent’s back, and attacks Harwood in the corner. He then sent Wheeler into the corner as well and pounded them both with a few punches, much to the crowd’s amusement.
Harwood then applies a waistlock to Cage, but Cage distracts the referee and hits Harwood with a low blow, then hits both FTRs with a dive to the outside. He then brings Harwood back into the ring, but is caught by Wheeler and ends up being dropped to the floor by Harwood. This allows Cage to go for the kill switch, but Harwood slips out with a chop and sends Cage to the mat instead. The “bald” chants return as Harwood goes back to attacking Cage. Harwood goes for a kill switch, but Cage reverses and goes back to his own kill switch for a near fall, but Wheeler breaks it up. He then hung Cage on the ropes, dropping his arm onto the top rope in the process.
A tag is then made as Wheeler chases the cage and drives his arm into the ring post as the referee begins his count. The crowd is chanting something as if to give FTR a little boost before Harwood focuses on sending Cage into the announce desk not once but twice. He then takes Cage back into the ring and goes after the arm. He then gets a quick nearfall before continuing to attack until Cage sends him in with a back body drop, Harwood gets a tag and stops Copeland from doing the same before dropping him into Cage. Cage then managed to fight back, sending Harwood to the mat as the referee started counting. Harwood then pulls him back in but is fought off before Copeland can make the tag, sending FTR to the canvas.
He then dodged Harwood and speared Wheeler to the floor, then hit the Impaler on Harwood to get a two count. Copeland then hits a crossface on Harwood, and Cage hits a crossface on Wheeler, but Wheeler bites Cage’s hand and escapes, crashing Cage onto Copeland and Harwood, helping Harwood escape. Copeland then goes straight for one of the AEW World Tag Team Championship belts before FTR plants the Shutter Machine on the cage. Copeland then comes to Cage’s aid and hits Harwood with a spear. He then goes for the pin, but Harwood kicks out and hits a shutter machine on Copeland with Wheeler. Harwood then pins Copeland, but Cage sends Stokely into the ring and onto Copeland and Wheeler to stop the fall.
Stokely then explained to Harwood in the ring and shoved the referee. The referee then pushed Stokely out of the ring, opening the door for Copeland to hit Harwood with a spear. Wheeler then sends Cage into the timekeeper area, but Copeland delivers a right hand to Wheeler and Harwood. Harwood and Wheeler then hit Copeland with a series of kicks and set up an FTR trigger on Copeland, but Copeland dodged and fired a spear at both of them. FTR then hit Copeland with a Shutter Machine for the win.
Winners and still AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax the Ax Harwood)!
After the match, FTR celebrates their victory.
Next, we look back at Camille’s attack on Willow Nightingale during Zero Hour. We then head to the back where Willow Nightingale issues a challenge to Camille to defend the TBS Championship on the Spring Breakthrough edition of Dynamite.
Next, we get a video package about the upcoming AEW TNT Championship Gauntlet match.
Tommaso Ciampa then goes down to the ring for the next match on the PPV, followed by RUSH.
AEW TNT Championship Gauntlet Match: “Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa vs. LFI’s “El Toro Blanco” RUSH vs. TBD
The match started with both fighters locked up, with neither fighter giving way even as they fought their way to the corners. The two then move on to trading shots back and forth, each hitting the ropes and attempting a shoulder tackle to no avail, looking for an advantage. More chops from both of them, and RUSH drives Ciampa into the ropes, but Ciampa pulls him back with a series of chops of his own. RUSH then fights back with a chop, ducks Ciampa and hits a hard elbow, sending Ciampa into the corner. He then teases going to The Horns and instead mocks Ciampa before telling him to be quiet.
This allowed Ciampa to regroup and send RUSH into the corner, followed by a series of stomps followed by a running boot, and the countdown revealed the next contestant, and it was Bandido who came down to the ring. Bandido then takes off and drops Ciampa on the floor. And a thrust kick RUSH into the corner. Bandido then hits a cannonball centone. He then pulls RUSH away from the corner and goes for a frog splash, but Ciampa breaks up the pin for two. He then sends Bandido into the corner, but gets caught on the ropes instead, stopping him from hitting a 21-plex before RUSH sends him into the barricade. RUSH then brings Bandido back into the ring, grabs him by the hair, and drops him to the mat. He then attempts to unmask Bandido as the countdown reveals the next contestant. That’s “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
Bayley then rushes into the ring, trying to recover from losing the trios title to Collision, and fights off RUSH before going after Ciampa with a flurry of attacks. Another roundhouse kick took Ciampa down hard, and Bayley got a two count with a standing shooting star. Rush and Bayley then exchange chops and the countdown reveals the next contestant, and it’s El Cron. He then makes a beeline for the ring, knocking down RUSH and Bayley on the way. He then reveals a hole in his mask before sliding into the ring, and as the countdown to the next contestant takes place, Bandido takes him down hard for a near fall, and it’s PAC who makes his way through the crowd to ringside.
He then chases the rest of the field and eventually defeats most of the field outside with Black Arrow. He then slides into the ring to confront Bayley, but Bandido also slides into the ring. PAC then knocks Bayley back and goes after Bandido. Bandido received a thrust kick from PAC and all three laid into each other, and a countdown revealed the next contestant, and it was Daniel Garcia who made his way down through the crowd to the ring. He then moves quickly and rolls up Bandido and Ciampa for easy pinfalls, but only gets nearfalls each time. He then sent them both out and stepped into a thrust kick on Kron, but Garcia countered a suplex, leading to a nearfall exchange.
Garcia then got a two count to end the fight. Then PAC appears, and both Death Riders concentrate on wearing out El Cron. As PAC and Garcia focused on the countdown to reveal the next contestant, El Cron went down and it was Anthony Bowens. Bowens then sends out Death Rider to chase Bandido and attack Famouser. Cron then slides into the ring, but gets taken down hard by Bowens. Bowens avoided one of Bayley’s kicks, but not the second. Bayley then heads for the corner, but Bowens intercepts her with a Dragon Screw, dropping Bayley to the mat. PAC then faces Bowens and the two go at it and PAC is sent to the corner.
Bowens then follows up with a DDT from the ropes, but Ciampa breaks two pins. Tommaso and RUSH then cornered Bowens with a series of stomps, forcing him out of the ring as the countdown revealed the next contestant, which was Kevin Knight. He then jumps over RUSH and goes after Ciampa, but RUSH comes back after him. He was then laid out with a dive on Bayley and Jetspeed celebrated as the Death Riders called them back to the ring. The four then brawl in the ring until the Death Riders take control, but are sent to the floor by Jet Speed, followed by a stereo dive on both sides of the ring. The tag partners then begin to glare at each other as they return to the ring, but Garcia pulls Knight away and sends Bayley out of the ring before Bowens makes an appearance. However, this doesn’t last long as RUSH charges after Bowens in the corner.
RUSH then attacks Bowens with his horns, but Kron tries to take advantage of that as he has a near fall on Bowens and RUSH. Bandido then goes for a near fall on the 21-plex, but when the countdown reveals the next contestant, it turns out to be Yuta Wheeler. Taking advantage of the confusion, he rushes to ringside, but is sent flying out of the ring while Knight is aiming for a dive. Ciampa then intercepts and superplexes Knight into the heap outside. PAC was unaffected and took advantage of that to get Bayley back in the ring and get a two count. Ciampa then breaks it up, but is kicked out of the ring by Yuta as Garcia pins the Dragon Slayer on Bayley. Just when he thought he had won, Knight burst in with a UFO splash and covered Garcia for the win.
Gauntlet match winner and new AEW TNT Champion, “The Jet” Kevin Knight of Jetspeed!
After the match, a pyro will be presented to the new champion to celebrate his first AEW singles title.
Next, we get a video package for the AEW Women’s World Championship match.
We then head to ringside and then get a shot of the Brawling Birds’ pub setting. There, gruff Alex Windsor tells his pal Jamie Hayter that it’s his turn. She then grabs a quick drink before heading to the ring for her next match on PPV. Tecla then goes down to the ring and the match begins.
AEW Women’s World Championship Match: “The Toxic Spider” Thekla (c) from Triangle of Madness vs. Jamie Hayter from The Brawling Birds
The match starts with Hater hitting Tecla with a boot, and she hits some hard shots on Tecla before sending her to the ropes, where Hater is met with Tecla’s spear in retaliation. She then sends Hater out of play and attempts to continue her attack while sending Hater into the announce desk. She then follows up by sending Hater into the guardrail before landing a punch, but Hater counters with a punch of his own. Tecla then backs away, but before he can get back in the ring, Hater takes a chop on the apron. Hayter then followed up with a snap suplex for two.
She then resumes her attack until Thecla rolls out of the ring for a breather, but Hater doesn’t let up for long until he follows Thecla and drops him to the floor with a few right hands. She then hoists Thecla up and goes for a suplex, but Thecla blocks it and this goes up the ramp until Thecla slams Hater into the ramp with a DDT. She then rolls Hater off the ramp with a boot to the face before getting back in the ring, sliding in before going up top and diving onto a rising Hater. While the referee was taking a count, Hayter slowly got to his feet and climbed onto the apron, where Tekla hit him with a boot to the face. After this, Hater manages to get back into the ring, but is immediately sent to the other side by Thekla.
When she comes back in, Hater takes a few more shots by Tekla before getting back up and both women trade strikes until Hater is sent to the corner. Tekla then pulls Hater back in for a cover and two count, then quickly goes for a submission hold, but this goes into illegal territory when the referee calls for a break just before 5:00. Both men then get back to their feet and exchange shots, with Hater slamming into the canvas with a slap. Tecla then hits a headscissors into the ropes into a standing octopus hold, tightening Hater’s fingers as he struggles against the ropes. She then managed to get there and was forced to take a break before falling to the mat.
She then tried to use the ropes to support herself, but received a kick and fell through the ropes onto the apron. Thekla then brought Hater to her feet, headbutted Hater, and Thekla hit a suplex to the apron, after which both women fell to the floor. The referee then started counting and just as the count reached nine, both women slipped into the opposite ring to keep the match for themselves. They slowly get back up and exchange attacks until Tecla tries to send Hater into the ropes. Hater then reversed this and sent Thecla to the corner for a clothesline before dropping Thecla to the mat. He follows up with a Liger Bomb, but it only gets a 2 count.
Hater then brings Thecla into a suplex, but Thecla fights back with a near fall off the clothesline. Hater then fights back as Tecla starts circling around the ring and sets up a Tombstone Piledriver and a count of two, and Hater has to get his shoulders up as the referee starts a new pin count. Tecla then ends up sending Hater into the corner, but Hater fights back until Tecla bites him. Tecla then drops Hayter to the mat with a spider suplex, stays on the turnbuckle and double foot stomps onto Hayter’s upper back. Hater gets up and Tekla knocks him down with a roundhouse kick for a two count. Tecla hits a spider pose and hits a spear, but Hater counters with a backbreaker. The Haterade was then evaded by Thecla, who raked Hater’s eye and rolled her up, which was enough for the win as she grabbed the bottom rope for leverage.
Winner and current AEW Women’s World Champion, Thekla, aka “Venomous Spider” from Triangle of Madness!
After the match, Thekla rolls out of the ring to celebrate as Windsor runs down the ramp to contest the decision, but the decision remains final.
We then move on to a video package that hypes up the feud between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay leading up to tonight’s AEW Continental Championship match on Dynasty.
Will Ospreay then makes his way to the ring for his next match on PPV, followed by Jon Moxley.
AEW Continental Championship Match: Death Riders Jon Moxley (c) vs. “Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay
The match begins with Ospreay immediately hitting Moxley with a Hidden Blade from outside the corner, to loud cheers from the crowd. Then, as they chant his name, he says he has time now. Moxley then stands up as Ospreay heads to the corner, but a second Hidden Blade sends Moxley flying out of bounds. Ospreay chases Moxley outside, supports Moxley on the apron and hits a DDT. Ospreay then brings Moxley back into the ring and goes up top for a flying forearm to the back. Ospreay then lands a forearm strike until Moxley goes for a triangle hold, causing Moxley to fall to the canvas. Ospreay then picks Moxley up and fires back with a powerbomb.
Moxley then crawled to the ropes where Ospreay delivered more blows, driving Ospreay to the floor before sending Moxley into the ring steps. Ospreay then shoved Moxley down the stairs, yelling that he was out of action for six months, but Moxley managed to fight back and slam Ospreay to the floor with a Paradigm Shift. He then brings Ospreay back into the ring and hits a sleeper suplex to corner his prey before knocking Ospreay down with a right hand. He then continued the beatdown with a few more shots, allowing Ospreay to get up for a free shot, which ended with Ospreay taking Moxley to the canvas. Ospreay then jumps and hits Moxley with a dropkick, and Moxley rolls to the outside for a breather, then intercepts Ospreay on the turnbuckle.
Ospreay then goes for a piledriver on the apron, but Ospreay counters and brings Moxley back into the ring and hits a springboard dive, leading to Moxley hitting a forearm attack. Moxley goes back to work on Ospreay and Ospreay falls to the canvas. Ospreay then managed to fight back and take Moxley down hard, and then the 10 minute mark was announced and Moxley transitioned into a bulldog choke. Moxley then takes Ospreay into a suplex and cover, but Ospreay manages to get a shoulder raise at the last minute. The match then moves to the corner and Moxley goes for a sleeper suplex off the turnbuckle, but Ospreay gets stuck. He was then caught with a second suplex, but Ospreay hit a powerbomb on Moxley for a two count.
Ospreay then goes for the ropes and goes for a Cutter, but Moxley counters with a Paradigm Shift, and Ospreay bounces back and hits a Hidden Blade on Moxley, sending him back to the canvas. Both men then slowly get to their feet and exchange attacks. Moxley staggers as Ospreay forces Moxley into the corner and takes more hits until the referee tries to intervene. Ospreay then shoves him to the mat. Things then got awkward when Ospreay reached out to the referee and apologized, distracting him and allowing Moxley to hit a hard lariat. Ospreay then bounces back with a Styles Clash on Moxley, but the transition to the pin is slow and Moxley allows Moxley to kick out at two.
Moxley then goes for a choke, but Ospreay escapes and goes for a Hidden Blade in the corner, but Ospreay gets a near fall with five minutes left. Ospreay focuses on the neck and shoulders and goes for the Tiger Driver, but Moxley shakes him off and leaves the ring. Ospreay goes for a Tiger Driver on the steps of the ring, but Moxley hits a piledriver and drops Ospreay head-first onto the steps. Moxley then enters the ring as the referee calls for a medical to check on Ospreay, and the referee begins a count as Ospreay struggles to move.
Ospreay stands on the apron at count 8, but backs away and finally slides into the ring at 9, where Moxley hits a lariat followed by a Paradigm Shift for two. Moxley then goes for a cover, but Ospreay kicks out in the nick of time. Moxley then picked Ospreay up and hit him with a Death Rider DDT for the win.
Winner and current AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley of The Death Riders!
After the match, after Moxley leaves the ring to celebrate tonight’s win, the doctor checks on Ospreay. Osprey is then helped to his feet and heads to the rear.
Next, we get a video package promoting AEW Double or Nothing heading to Queens, New York on Sunday, May 24th.
We then head to the back where we hear from Darby Allin after tonight’s win. He talked about his career starting this week in Everett, where Dynamite will be held on Wednesday. He then said he was watching the main event and teased that he might be aiming for the title this Wednesday on Spring Breakthrough Dynamite.
Next, we get a video package for the AEW World Trios Championship match.
Then it’s back to ringside. A sitcom studio is set up on the stage. Roderick Strong seems to have woken up Orange Cassidy and says he’ll be here soon and he’s none other than Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly then said that to Conglomeration before heading to the ring for their next match on PPV. The Dogs then destroy the sitcom set on stage before heading to the ring.
AEW World Trios Championship Match: The Dogs (Clark Connors, David Finlay, Gabe Kidd) (c) vs. The Conglomeration (“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong)
The match starts with O’Reilly and Finlay, with O’Reilly locking Finlay in a side headlock. Finlay then fought back against the ropes and stopped a sunset flip with some stomps. Finlay then flies to the ropes but runs into a lifting knee from O’Reilly, who gets a double team tag with Strong. Then, after dodging Kidd and Connors, Cassidy goes up top, center and goes for an elbow from the mat itself for a near fall. Connors and Kidd then come in, but are quickly chased back, allowing the Conglomerations to high-five each other until Dogs jumps. The fight then spreads outside and O’Reilly sets up a full clip from the apron.
The Dogs then celebrate until Strong charges towards Finlay, but Kidd sends Strong into the barricade with a boot. Back in the ring, Finlay goes after Cassidy but is sent into the corner by Cassidy, but Cassidy gets hit by Connors outside and Finlay regains control. He then drops Cassidy to the mat and goes for a chinlock, but Cassidy gets back up and fights back until Finlay sends Cassidy into the turnbuckle and tags Connors. The crowd then booed when Connors finally took Cassidy down with a snap suplex and got a two count. Clark then sends Cassidy to the opposite corner before teasing Strong and gets some offense into Cassidy before getting the tag.
Cassidy stands up and sends Connors into the corner, then incorporates Strong, who sends Cassidy into both members of The Dogs and hits a gutbuster on Clark for a near fall. Finlay then appeared to go after Strong, and as O’Reilly returned to the apron, Finlay managed to fend off him and Connors. Strong then makes the tag and O’Reilly attacks Clarke, hitting the Dragon Screw and sending Finlay to the floor. He also landed a blow on Connors and placed him in an ankle lock. Finlay dodges an orange punch and tries to break it up, but he gets sent off for a knee strike from Strong, which causes O’Reilly to put an even deeper ankle lock on Connors, causing Connors to tap out.
Winners and new AEW World Trios Champions, The Conglomeration (“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong)!
After the match, The Conglomeration celebrate with pyro as the crowd cheers.
Next, we get a video package for the AEW World Championship match.
Kenny Omega then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the PPV, followed by MJF.
AEW World Championship Match: “The Devil” MJF (c) vs. “The God of Pro Wrestling” Kenny Omega
The match starts with MJF saying some bad words to Kenny Omega before the match preparation begins. They then circle the mat as the crowd chants something at MJF, but MJF yells at the fans and then goes for the Salt of the Earth on Omega to no avail. He then fights back from One-Winged Angel for a near fall, and the fight spills over to the apron, where Omega dodges Heatseeker. He then looks for a V-Trigger on MJF, but MJF escapes as he takes a breather and walks out into the crowd. Fans gave him some grief over this, but he told them he had time before returning to the ring.
MJF then gains an advantage over Omega and celebrates before heading to the ropes, but Omega takes him out of bounds, only for MJF to avoid a dive. He then walks around and gets a dropkick that sends him into the barricade, allowing Omega to give him a drop with a dive to the floor. Omega charges at MJF this time, but MJF counters with a drop toe hold and slams him face-first into a steel chair. He then sends Omega over the guardrail, but with a momentary distraction Omega climbs out and takes MJF back to the floor. He then grabbed the timekeeper’s table and carried it towards MJF, using a loophole in the rules to hit a double stomp into the table propped above MJF.
Omega then begins to set up the table, but the referee reminds him that he can only win the belt in the ring, and Omega responds by rolling into the ring just long enough to break the count. He then puts MJF on a table as the count begins anew and climbs onto the turnbuckle until MJF returns to the ring and knocks Omega off the turnbuckle. This allows MJF to stomp Omega, who follows up with a hard scoop slam. Omega then starts fighting back until MJF hits him with a neckbreaker. They then exchange blows in the center of the ring, and MJF wears Omega down with a few more shots before going for a powerbomb, but MJF counters with a waterwheel drop and covers Omega for a two count.
He then forces Omega into the corner and throws a punch that bounces off the crowd, allowing Omega to fight back with punches of his own. MJF then escapes with a Manhattan Drop, but twerks a knee to avoid Omega in the corner and gets an O’Connor roll for a nearfall and Omega kicks out. Omega then reached the ropes and gave MJF the idea to go for the V-Trigger, but Omega dodged him and hit a snapdragon suplex instead. He continued to attack, dropping MJF to the mat, then performing a moonsault and covering for a two count before MJF rolled out of the ring looking for a breather.
Omega then runs the ropes to gain speed and MJF gets back up just in time to be sent back to the floor with a dive by Omega. The match then returns to the ring, with MJF breaking away from the One-Winged Angel and dodging the catapult, as the crowd chants for both men to duel. Both men then fought in the ring, with MJF landing feet on the mat and biting Omega’s head in the corner until the referee intervened. MJF then props Omega up against the turnbuckles and goes for the Tombstone Piledriver before Omega finally breaks free. Omega then goes for the Sunset Powerbomb, but MJF stands up. Omega then hits a snapdragon suplex and Omega stands up as MJF goes for a suplex of his own.
MJF then counters the One-Winged Angel into a reverse rana. He then goes for a Long Island Sunrise on Omega, but Omega stands up and goes for a running knee on MJF. Omega goes for MJF on the ropes and both men get up, but Heatseeker dodges and gives MJF an opening for a cutter on Omega for two-four. He then tries to tell Omega that he can’t escape, but Omega fights back with his own sign and gets a nearfall. He then tries to do the same to MJF, but MJF fights back. Omega then searches for V-Trigger, but runs into MJF’s attack. MJF starts mocking Omega by asking if his stomach hurts. Both men then hit the ropes, crashed into each other, and fell to the canvas. MJF then drives Omega into the corner, but Omega fights back and slams MJF’s head into the turnbuckle.
Omega then hits some more shots and pulls MJF into a buckle bomb. Omega goes up top as MJF gets up, but Omega takes him down with a missile dropkick for a two count. He then climbs onto the turnbuckle once more, only to get a forearm into the midsection by MJF. MJF then searches the tombstone before Omega is released. MJF then boots Omega away and jumps off the turnbuckle and hits a knee. MJF is still in the corner as Omega goes into an avalanche one-winged angel stance. MJF then tries to escape, but it was to no avail as Omega crashed him into the canvas with the One-Winged Angel off the turnbuckle. Omega then struggled to reach the pin, and that pause was enough for MJF to roll out of the ring out of Omega’s reach.
Omega then left the ring and brought MJF back and forced MJF to his feet, but MJF countered with a knee. He then goes for Cross Rose, but instead gets kicked to the face and sent into the corner. Omega then hits a V-Trigger from behind, a snapdragon suplex, and a cover V-Trigger, but MJF kicks out just in time. Omega then looks for the One-Winged Angel to bring MJF back up, but MJF falls to the mat as Omega struggles to lift him up. MJF tries again, this time with a counter Crossroads and then a package piledriver for the pin, but Omega kicks out at two.
MJF struggled to understand what he had to do to win this match, getting up and slapping Omega in the face. He then nails Omega with a few more shots as he struggles to his feet, only to be sent back to the canvas. Omega then got back to his feet and absorbed several more shots from MJF before the two went head-to-head. Omega then counters with a flurry of attacks and drives MJF into the corner. He then continues this until he pulls MJF away, spits in his face, and then hits a hard kick. This set Omega up for the V-Trigger on MJF, the fans yelled “again”, and Omega hit a right hand that sent MJF into the ropes. Omega then speeds up for a second V-Trigger, lifting MJF up and going for the One-Winged Angel, but MJF escapes and pulls the referee into a V-Trigger by Omega instead.
Omega then tries to revive the referee, which allows MJF to hit a low blow. While Omega recovers, MJF walks up to the referee to get the Dynamite Diamond Ring back. Omega catches him and hits a One-Winged Angel for a cover. The referee is still down as the crowd starts counting, and a second referee runs to the ring to count, but just before 3:00, MJF kicks out. The fight then spills out onto the apron as Omega goes for the One-Winged Angel through the table, but MJF nails Omega in the ring and drives Omega into the table with a Tombstone Piledriver. He then sent him back to the apron and hit the Heatseeker for the win.
“The Devil” MJF, winner and current AEW World Champion!
After the match, MJF struggled to stand up, instead opting to roll onto the apron and seek help from medics. He was then helped to his feet as he climbed the ramp, during which a replay of the finish was seen. MJF then leaves Medic’s arms as he makes his way to the throne, placing the crown back on his head, reminiscent of this week’s Spring Breakthrough on Dynamite and Collision. MJF then raised the title as the pyro exploded behind him and the AEW dynasty ended.
