Legendary wrestler D-Von Dudley has shared the story of his remarkable health turnaround that not only saved his wrestling career but potentially his life. After undergoing serious back surgery involving the fusion of his L4, L5, and S1 vertebrae, D-Von struggled with severe complications, gaining nearly 85 pounds and losing his ability to walk correctly.

He recounted how post-surgery scar tissue left him barely able to move, reaching almost 300 pounds. The breakthrough came when he reached out to Diamond Dallas Page, a former WCW star renowned for helping wrestlers recover through his DDP Yoga program. D-Von admitted that after just a few weeks of DDP Yoga, he noticed significant improvements, as the yoga helped loosen the restrictive scar tissue in his body.

In addition to physical therapy, D-Von overhauled his diet after being inspired by a documentary on food production. He cut out wheat, dairy, and fried foods, instead focusing on organic and grass-fed options. This combined approach of yoga and nutrition resulted in an impressive weight loss of 85 pounds.

His renewed health was especially important when his longtime tag team partner Bubba Ray invited him for a TNA reunion at the 1000th Impact episode. Reflecting on his journey, D-Von called it an incredible comeback post-surgery and stroke, grateful to be able to return to the ring.

Today, D-Von is in the best shape he’s been in years and runs a wrestling school in Winter Park, Florida, inspiring a new generation of wrestlers. His story stands as a powerful example of resilience, showing that with dedication and the right support, it’s possible to recover and thrive after major health setbacks.
