A recent report has revealed that the highly praised TNA X-Division Championship match between Moose and Leon Slater at Slamiversary last Sunday had to be significantly altered on the fly. According to the Wrestling Observer newsletter, Moose suffered an injury early in the match, forcing him to abandon many of the original planned sequences.

In the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that although the match was considered one of the best of the night, it had the potential to be even better if not for Moose’s injury. Meltzer stated, "Moose was injured very early in the match with Slater. The match was said to be as good as it was, but it would have been even better if he hadn’t gotten hurt."

Despite the injury, Moose finished the match, ultimately allowing Leon Slater to become the new TNA X-Division Champion. After the event, Moose took to social media to announce a break from wrestling to "get healthy." However, his hiatus was brief as he appeared on this week’s episode of TNA Impact! It was soon revealed that Moose had set his sights on Trick Williams, the current TNA World Champion.

Moose’s new rival, Trick Williams, is currently one of the hottest names in professional wrestling. Besides holding the top TNA title, Williams is also signed with WWE NXT. He recently appeared on the latest episode of NXT, where he was part of a notable in-ring confrontation with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker.

Fan Take: This news is significant for TNA Wrestling fans as it highlights the resilience and determination of Moose, keeping the excitement alive despite injury setbacks. The emerging rivalry between Moose and Trick Williams promises thrilling storylines that could elevate the sport’s profile and engage fans on a deeper level.
