Dame revealed that one of the toughest parts of joining WWE was balancing the demanding WWE Superstar lifestyle on the road with her personal life at home. Honest advice from WWE legend and 14-time world champion Charlotte Flair helped her come to terms with this reality, as Flair explained that work-life balance in this industry often doesn’t exist, but that’s part of the sacrifice.
“She told me, ‘How do you balance work and home life?’ and then said, ‘You don’t. This is your life now and you have to choose that,’” Dame recalled. “I realized she was right—this profession takes over your whole life, but honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way because it’s so rewarding and fun.”
Currently, Dame holds the NXT North American Championship after defeating Thea Hale on a recent episode of NXT. Later this week, she will defend her title in a triple threat match against Hale and Laura Bice, likely accompanied by Spears and fellow Culling teammate Nico Vance at ringside.
