Despite weeks of speculation that Mariah could head to WWE, it appears that the breakout star in AEW’s women’s division is yet to go anywhere.
Pwinsider Shut down the story of the imminent WWE Jump and report that you may still have “A considerable amount of time.” She left her AEW contract. That’s bad news for fans who wanted her to pop up in WWE during or shortly after the WrestleMania season. According to one source, her deal could be carried out “Until November this year” Another added it “There may be more time.”
Mariah has not been seen on AEW TV since his brutal loss to the Tonistorm AEW Revolutionand her absence added fuel to rumors she had made at the company. The gossip train kicked into high gear after Dave Meltzer insisted Wrestling Observer Radio People in WWE “I know she wants to go there.” And Brian Alvarez said May signed a two-year contract in November 2023.
But what really sparked the pot was rumours that may have called for a release shortly after his feud with Toni Storm. but Pwinsider I also addressed that: “There were rumors that they would make a round… it may have requested a release from her AEW deal, but we couldn’t confirm that it was accurate. Obviously, she hasn’t been released.”
As for WWE, sources close to the company play it cool. When asked about their interests in May, they are reported “I played Koi” I’ll just point out that she’s there “Sign elsewhere.”
So, Mariah May’s name continues to appear in conversations about WWE’s future women’s roster, but the facts are clear. She still has an AEW deal and there are no indications that the release is permitted or will come soon.
