Adam Coepland expects to retire after his current contract ends.

The wrestling veteran has been part of several memorable stories since returning to ring action in 2020. However, he suffered some serious injuries. The WWE Hall of Fame knows he doesn’t have much time left in the square circle, taking all the damage done to his body over the years.

The former world champion was asked in his first interview with Korolnek and Korai Kobo that he continues to wrestle. In reply, Cope said he wasn’t going to be active for longer:

“I mean, it’s not that long. The schedule is much better than before. If I ask you to try and do it for more than 200 days in a year I pulled before, I’m not at all recovering as it takes a good week to play games and finally start normal walking.”

Aew Star discusses how he feels he’s been pretty beaten when he wakes up in the morning, and it takes him a while for him to start feeling normal. According to Adam Copeland, he could retire once his current contract expires.

“I’m 51 now. I think I’m 53, which could be the end of this contract. And it’s time to call it a day and still limping outside. [laughs]. Then I lick my wounds and then do a lot of yoga afterwards.”

The former WWE star will turn 53 in October 2026. Earlier this year, he spoke about his ideal opponent for his retirement match. You can see what he said about this issue.
