Liv Morgan’s big Hollywood movie role revealed

WWE superstar Liv Morgan is aiming for another acting role to be part of the cast of Neon Pictures’ upcoming film, Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo. Deadline was the first to report news about Morgan’s involvement in the project.

The film will be directed by acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Takehi Miike, and will also star Lily James, known for “Baby Driver” and “Pam & Tommy.” Details of the early plot reveal that a Tokyo police officer (shun oguri) whose story has been corrupted, gets caught up in a high stakes incident. James portrays an FBI agent investigating the disappearance of the daughter of a politician played by Morgan, but a murderer connected to an evil yakuza presses for an investigation.

Production of the thriller is scheduled to begin in Japan within the next week. Neon Pictures, the distributor behind the recent best photos of Oscar winner Anora, is in favor of the film and shows significant expectations. This role represents Morgan as a major step into the film industry. After the report suggested that an official announcement next week could be planned.

Morgan has already made prominent appearances in both television and film. She played herself in the 2022 episode of the “Chucky” television series. Additionally, she took on the role of Emma in the 2023 dark comedy thriller film The Kill Room, sharing screen time with Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Joe Manganiello.
