Nigel McGuinness fights FTR in a confused AEW collision main event with headphones removed

In the main event of Daniel Garcia and Ducks Harwood’s “AEW Clash” the match was dumped as Nigel McGuinness became physical on the FTR.

Harwood and Garcia were scheduled to face each other on the fallout on the heel turn of the FTR.

They fought offensive matches. Harwood opens early and tries to wear his little enemy at ringside with the help of Stokeley Hathaway and Cash Wheeler. Eventually the fight was brought into the crowd, and their pair came near the commentary field, putting Harwood in conflict with McGuinness. They then were surprised at each other while Garcia went back into the ring and raw.

However, McGuinness follows Harwood and returns to the ring, and as judge Bryce Remsberg attempts to prevent Wheeler and Hathaway from getting involved, he enters and attacks. He eventually failed the job, and “Papa Magic” Matt Menard also entered the crease, helping McGuinness and Garcia dodge the FTR.

Nigel McGuinness last wrestled in December, facing Lemoriaty in the final match of the ROH Pure Championship Open Challenge. It was his third match since 2011, when he returned to the ring to appear in the gauntlet match in 2024, then wrestling Bryan Danielson in “Aew Dynamite: Grand Slam” a month later.
