Updates have emerged regarding the situation surrounding the WWE Crown Jewel Championships, and the next Crown Jewel event will not be held in Saudi Arabia.

Crown Jewel 2024 has announced that WWE Crown is the first ever men’s and women’s Crown Jewel Champion. It has announced that these titles will be held in Saudi Arabia all year round.

The spanner was thrown into the work by the announcement of the literal next Crown Jewel event, set with Crown Jewel 2025, which emanates from Perth, Australia.

Due to the event being held in completely different countries, there have been some speculations as to what will happen with the two titles this year.

With each Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Crown Jewel Championship Match is expected to take place at the event on October 11th, 2025.

Meltzer wrote:

“The Crown Jewel PPV on October 11th will feature the annual Crown Jewel title match, which was scheduled as an annual event in Saudi Arabia.

“Saudi Arabia won the Royal Rumble in January, and therefore did not obtain a PPV later in the year.

“So the WWE men’s and women’s champions will face the world champions like they did last year.

“These matches will go back to being regular in Saudi Arabia in 2026, and the Survivor Series is a match between male and female wargames.”

Cody Rhodes became the first Men’s Crown Jewel Champion, defeating Gunther, the then World Heavyweight Champion while being WWE Champion.

Liv Morgan, the then world women’s champion, defeated Nia Jacks, the then female champion, and became the first female Crown Jewel champion.
