The WWE Star is set to take a “long vacation” from the company following the main event show on tonight on Saturday night at NBC.
The penultimate match of the night was between Damien’s Priest and Drew McIntyre’s steel cage.
The priest slams McIntyre into a chair, leaving the Scots in the ring, and the priest simply walks out the cage door and wins the match.
Prior to the match, McIntyre commented that he had been working recently. This included a bad landing in the backlash as his head hit the floor from the south of heaven by the priest from the platform through the table below.
Pwinsider Elite reports that McIntyre is taking a “long vacation” from WWE following tonight’s cage match.
He plans to remove “long term” from television and not in the “near future.”
There was talk that McIntyre could soon be set up to join the Big Hollywood Project, but this leave of absence is not related to that, and it’s a case where McIntyre only takes “personal time.”
