Je’von Evans Electrifies WWE SmackDown with a Debut Echoing the NXT North American Champion’s Rise

2 Min Read

Je’Von Evans, known as “The Young OG” on WWE NXT, made his debut on WWE SmackDown alongside Rey Fenix on Friday. Despite their efforts, they were defeated by Los Garza due to interference from North American Champion Ethan Page. In the Worlds Collide event, Evans and Fenix participated in a fatal four-way match against Laredo Kid from TNA and AAA, challenging Page for his title.

The match was fast-paced and exciting, with commentary featuring Ethan Page. Santos Escobar from Legado del Fantasma was ringside to support Angel and Belt. Ross Garza controlled much of the match early on, while Angel used the ropes to weaken Evans in the corner. The champion, Belt, stopped Evans from tagging in Fenix, who then countered and hit a big kick, leading to a hot tag bringing Angel and Fenix into the action.

Angel and Belt tried to take down Evans from the top rope, but Fenix came to his rescue by stomping on Belt’s back. Evans then leapt off the top rope, taking out Ross Garza on the floor. Back at ringside, Evans and Fenix confronted Page, who retaliated by sending Fenix into the announcer’s desk. Evans responded with a big kick, distracting Page, but despite Evans’ efforts from the top rope, Page ultimately won. Ross Garza secured the victory by hitting his MYT move on Evans.

Fan Take: This debut highlights the rising talent pool in WWE and signals potential fresh rivalries that can revitalize SmackDown’s tag team scene. For WWE fans, Je’Von Evans’ dynamic style combined with Rey Fenix’s agility could lead to some thrilling matches that push the sport’s athleticism to new heights.
