As AEW continues to grow, so does pay-per-view events. Starting with four major shows each year at the start, AEW holds nine pay-per-views a year.

This event is especially important as it is the first pay-per-view of AEW held at Major League Baseball Stadiums in Globe Life Field, Texas and Arlington.
Continuing the successful collaboration, AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling held their fourth annual ban door event at Wembley Stadium in London, UK on Sunday, August 24, 2025, making it the first time the event has been held outside of North America.
