AEW’s Derby Allin posts social media updates after reaching Mount Everest summit

Yesterday afternoon, the words came up that Darby Allin from Aew Star had arrived at the top of Mount Everest for over a month. This morning, Allin took her to Instagram and shared her photos and videos at the highest point of Planet Earth.

Allin’s trek to the top of Everest began in mid-April, with both wrestlers and touring companies traveling posting updates along the way. Among these updates is a video posted by Allyn, who is said to have skateboarded in the mountains and broke the record for the world’s highest elevation kickflip on the top of Everest.

He reaches its peak, but Allin comes a long way before he gets on the plane home. The journey from Everest is still dangerous, exhausting and time-consuming. That means it will likely take him a while for him to return to AEW, considering it will take several weeks to return home with the rest he needs before he returns to the ring.

A recent behind-the-scenes report suggests AEW officials initially hope that Allin will return to the verge of the round by spring, and there appears to have been plans to play some role in the Owen Hart Cup tournament, with AEW double or nothing. His Everest climbing timeline changed, so no matter what ideas were in place, they had to change them.

As of today, Allin’s recent appearance in AEW programming took place in December, with performers throwing him on a set of stairs at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, amortizing the performers.
