In Derby Allin’s last aired AEW appearance, he was ready to fall down the stairs of the Hammerstein Ballroom, preparing to rise from the ring. Although Alin’s climbing progress is well documented, there appears to be a new development in how he aspires to expand the tallest mountain known to young star humans and how it will affect his ultimate AEW return.
In January, AEW officials reportedly were convinced that Allin would return by spring and ringreading would take place. However, with March and April passing without any signs of Allin, AEW confirmed that Allin is expected to return by the start of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, and he is due to take part in AEW’s upcoming double or Nothing event cards. Given the previous feud between Allin and Moxley with Deathrider, we can assume that Allin is supposed to play a major role in the progression of the tournament.
At the time of writing, there were no updates regarding Allin’s comeback. It is unclear whether Allin is still embarking on ascending his mountain, or if he has returned from Everest. It is also unclear whether the mountains influenced his health and preparation for the ring, or whether AEW continues to envelop his return for creative purposes.
According to his climbing team, Allin’s Everest climb began on April 10th with a “great, sunny day with amazing views.” A typical Everest climb can take six weeks to two months or more, especially for inexperienced climbers. At the time of writing, Allin has been climbing for about five weeks.
