At WWE NXT Battleground, Trick Williams won the TNA World Championship and became the first wrestler in the WWE-TNA Partnership, winning gold from the other side. X, FKA On Twitter, TNA Wrestling responded by adding Williams’ name along with the legend holding the gold.
TNA Wrestling also shared a summary of Williams’ historic victory on the promotion’s website.
“When Joe Hendry played the TNA World Championship against Trick Williams, it was first marked when history was made on the battlefield of WWE and the TNA World title was defended in the WWE PLE.
“In the epic before and after contest, Williams placed Hendry on the ringside announcement table. Williams led to a trick shot, but holding down Hendry wasn’t enough.
“Later in the match, Hendry went for a standing ovation, but Williams refuted, bringing him to face the TNA word title belt. Williams followed up another trick shot to win the match and win the TNA World Championship.
“Trick Williams will become the first active WWE superstar to win the TNA World title.“
Williams’ victory surprised fans in attendance, including TNA president Carlos Silva. TNA Head is unhappy with the talent of NXT, who is on display in the crowd after the match and holds TNA gold.
Williams has appeared in both WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling. Now, hoping to see more tricks after his historic title victory.
