Bryan Danielson Talks Exciting Possibility of Making His In-Ring Comeback in AEW

2 Min Read

Former AEW Men’s World Champion Bryan Danielson concluded his full-time wrestling career at AEW Wrestle Dream in October 2024, though uncertainty has lingered about his future in the ring. Rather than calling himself retired, Danielson had avoided neck surgery for years, leading many to believe his in-ring days were finished. However, in a recent conversation with The Undisputed’s Justin Barrasso, Danielson revealed that fellow AEW star Adam Copeland referred him to a physical therapist, suggesting there’s still a chance for his return to wrestling.

Danielson explained, “It’s not completely off the table. In April 2025, Adam Copeland sent me to a physical therapist who he called a miracle worker. This guy put me through six hours of training a day for two consecutive days. After the first session, I slept nine hours straight, and after the second, eight hours. Since then, I’ve been sleeping seven or eight hours most nights, which has greatly improved how I feel.”

Though Danielson hasn’t been active in the ring recently, he remains familiar to AEW fans. His brief dark match against Max Caster in June 2025 lasted only eight seconds but demonstrated he can still handle physical action, as seen in his intense performances at CMLL and AEW All In Texas. Outside the squared circle, Danielson contributes as a creative consultant to Tony Khan and occasionally joins the AEW commentary team, though neck problems have caused him to limit travel and on-air appearances.
