AEW’s annual Double or Nothing event, which celebrates the anniversary of the company’s inaugural show and is a major fixture in the wrestling calendar, is set to be even bigger in 2026. According to Andrew Zarian from the Matt Men podcast, the 2026 edition will take place at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. While specific dates have not yet been confirmed, the event traditionally occurs on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, with this year’s show scheduled for May 24th.
Louis Armstrong Stadium, opened in 2018, is the second-largest venue at the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center following Arthur Ashe Stadium. AEW fans may recognize Arthur Ashe Stadium as the site of the Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite from 2021 through 2024. However, since Arthur Ashe Stadium has been closed for renovations starting in 2025 until the summer of 2027, Louis Armstrong Stadium will serve as the largest available venue for the event. This stadium typically holds around 14,000 attendees for tennis matches, though its capacity for wrestling shows will depend on AEW’s setup.
This will mark the third time AEW has held a pay-per-view event in New York state, joining The World’s End in 2023 and Forbidden Door in 2024. Additionally, 2026’s Double or Nothing will be the second consecutive year the event is not hosted in Las Vegas, a city that hosted four of the first six shows, following 2025’s event in Phoenix, Arizona.
Fan Take: This move to Louis Armstrong Stadium signals AEW’s intent to continue expanding its reach and offering fans larger and more unique venues for their marquee events. For AEW enthusiasts, it not only represents growth but also the chance to see the company bring high-profile wrestling to a fresh and iconic part of New York, potentially elevating the sport’s presence on a significant stage.
