The show begins with commentary that welcomes us and outlines tonight’s lineup.

He then receives a message from the Death Riders after Wednesday’s Dynamite. Jon Moxley mentioned his lack of victory over Kyle O’Reilly in previous fights and said he’s not the man he was six months ago. Moxley then says that logic and strategy dictate that he stay away from O’Reilly since he is certain that he has his phone number. And Moxley says the Continental Championship is good bait to slay the dragons that come to his door. And Moxley says he’s going to find a way to survive the way he knows how.

Moxley then exited before Claudio Castagnoli, who will face Brody King in the Owen Hart Tournament, could address him. Castagnoli said kings bring bark, but when competing, it’s better to bring bite. PAC then says that there is no special winner, it is they who will take on the world. Daniel Garcia agrees and Marina Shafir instructs the enemy to bring it.

Conglomeration then descends on the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Shane Taylor Promotions.

AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator Match: The Conglomeration (AEW World Trios Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Brisco) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (ROH Pure Champion “TAIGASTYLE” Lee Moriarty, “Bad News & Tattoo” Carly Bravo, Captain Sean Dean)

Briscoe then hit a few shots of his own before teaming up with Cassidy, who hit enough shots. Dean is then tagged in and Dean grabs Cassidy and makes him put his hands in his pockets. Cassidy then obliges and knocks Dean down with a dropkick, sending Dean out of the game. Bravo then runs for an assist, but to no avail. Dean and Bravo are then each sent to the turnbuckles and Moriarty drags Cassidy off the apron. O’Reilly and Briscoe then get into an argument over this, and when the infantryman takes down Cassidy, Taylor uses the referee’s attention to distract him with a big leg drop to keep him down.

Dean puts the ball on Cassidy in the corner and makes the tag to Bravo. Cassidy is pulled out of the corner and struggles, finally kicking Bravo away, but Moriarty gets the tag and prevents him from doing the same. Abdominal stretch by Lee. The rest of the STP assists until the referee catches it. Cassidy then manages to escape when Moriarty is forced to let go of the ropes and O’Reilly gets the tag. He then sends Moriarty to the corner for a knee kick and sends Moriarty to the mat for a kick and a cover. He then got a nearfall and quickly went for an armbar before STP broke it up. Dean tags in and takes O’Reilly down for a two count.

Bravo then goes for a double team, but Brisco goes back to the apron and O’Reilly takes him down with a knee kick and gets the tag. He then unloaded on the infantry before setting up Bravo for Jade Driller. Bravo then slips out and sends him to the ropes, but STP keeps him at bay and Cassidy blocks him with a dive. Brisco then gets a chair and looks for a big dive of his own before Taylor stops him, only to take an orange punch from Cassidy. This led to a knee kick from O’Reilly and a well-aimed dive from Brisco, who brought Dean back into the ring for the Froggy Bow and Jade Driller for the win.

After the match, Conglomeration celebrates their victory.

On commentary, we talk about Briscoe, who will face Tommaso Ciampa on this Wednesday’s 3-hour special, and later tonight’s match. We then see Samoa Joe take on Will Ospreay to kick off the men’s Owen Hart tournament before we hear from Ospreay after Dynamite. And Ospreay says he thinks it’s poetic that the man who stole his old life is giving him a second chance to win the Owen Hart Tournament.

We then cut to Kyle O’Reilly addressing Jon Moxley, who accepts the challenge to a Continental Title Eliminator match. After submitting Moxley, O’Reilly said he was going to put all his chips in and go double or nothing. Brisco then gives a speech about facing Ciampa, and Cassidy has Nightingale give a speech for this year’s Owen Hart Tournament. And we found out that her TBS title match will be held next.

Willow Nightingale then went down to the ring for the next match of the night, and Red Velvet followed by cutting a promo, mentioning that she was the ROH Women’s World Television Champion and that she had defeated Nightingale in the past. Velvet then said that she was going to defeat Nightingale for the TBS Championship right now.

The match begins with both women fighting, with Nightingale taking the advantage first before Velvet makes a comeback. Nightingale then offers a handshake as a sign of respect, and they shake hands again before Velvet sends Nightingale into the corner. Velvet then drives her boot into Nightingale’s throat for additional damage, but Nightingale escapes with a few shots of her own. Nightingale also blocks a sunset flip and picks up a nearfall. Nightingale then hit a Fisherman Buster, which also got a two count, and went for a senton, but Velvet rolled out. Velvet then hits a low moonsault for a near fall.

Nightingale then starts to bring it back and sends Velvet to the floor with a suplex. Nightingale then goes for a Death Valley Driver on the apron, but Velvet escapes. Velvet was then sent to the floor instead, and Nightingale landed on the floor looking for a cannonball senton, which Velvet avoided at the last moment. Velvet rolls into the ring as the referee starts counting. Nightingale then returns to the ring, but is intercepted by Velvet for a near fall. Both women then trade strikes until Velvet hits a DDT. Nightingale then goes to the ropes but gets a double knee to the back. Velvet then hits a bulldog for a near fall.

Nightingale then fights back and looks for Babe with a powerbomb, but Velvet breaks free and sends Nightingale back into the ropes. Nightingale then ends up sending Velvet to the mat instead. Both women then trade strikes and Nightingale sends Velvet to the canvas with a clothesline, but Velvet gets a shoulder brace. The match goes to the corner where Velvet shoves Nightingale to the mat and covers, but Nightingale barely gets her shoulders up. Velvet then hits the ropes, but Nightingale attacks her as well. Nightingale then lifted Velvet and hit Babe with a powerbomb for the victory.

Next, let’s take a look at the bracket for the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament, where Nightingale takes on Alex Windsor in the double-or-nothing opening round.

Sammy Guevara then calls out Darby Allin for tonight’s world title match, pointing out that Darby Allin has defeated Allin four times and is looking to become the new AEW World Champion with his fifth victory. We then head to the backside, where Guevara cuts basically the same promo he did recently, but adds that he’s going to face MJF next week and shave his head. He then tells Arin that his time is up and Sammy’s time is now.

We then take a look at the history of Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal leading up to tonight’s tag team match, which is next.

Afterwards, we go back to the back and listen to Darby Allin, who is making his sixth title defense. Allin said he asked everyone if MJF was there, but realized it was a stupid question. Allin then said that of course MJF wasn’t part of Collision because he wasn’t part of the company. They then ask Allin why he’s so close to Double or Nothing, and Allin says he loves the idea of ​​being a fighting champion. Allin then talks about facing Guevara tonight, before offering to give Mike Bailey a chance if he stays on Wednesday. Then he walks away.

I then went to ringside and saw Tommaso Ciampa and Mark Brisco having a match. They then brawl to ringside and Brisco gets a chair before sending Ciampa into the ring. Brisco then goes for a chair on Jay Driller, but Ciampa shakes him off and hits Brisco with a low blow. Ciampa then grabbed a chair and slammed it into Brisco’s back. Ciampa then sends Brisco to the corner, grabs another chair and slams it into Brisco’s head. Ciampa then sets up two chairs before heading back to the corner, but The Conglomeration runs in and makes the save.

Brisco then gets the microphone and Ciampa slips through the crowd and calls Ciampa out to make it an anything-goes match and Wednesday will not be disqualified. Then Briscoe’s music hits.

In the commentary, we talk about whether this will officially air as a 3-hour special. They also talk about Swerve Strickland appearing this Wednesday and take a look at the men’s Owen Hart tournament bracket where Strickland will face Bandido, the man he attacked on last night’s Super Card of Honor.

We then remembered the hype for Will Ospreay and Samoa Joe at Double or Nothing and All In: London on August 30th before returning to ringside for their next match.

Samoa Joe and Anthony Bowens go down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Lee Johnson and Jay Lethal.

Tag match: The Ops (Samoa Joe, Anthony Bowens) vs. The Lethal Twist (“Big Shotty” Lee Johnson, Jay Lethal)

The match starts with Anthony Bowens and Jay Lethal, but it doesn’t last long as Lethal calls for Samoa Joe to come into the ring. Joe then obliged with a tag, only for Lethal to nail him with a right hand. Lethal has a little fun with this, but ends up taking a few shots from Joe. Joe then takes Lethal to the ropes and hits a boot to the face in the corner. Lethal then leaves the ring to take a breather as Bowens makes the tag, but Johnson also leaves the ring as Lethal returns. A back and forth exchange between the two men, with Bowens knocking Johnson down with a side headlock takeover, but Johnson fights back and sends Bowens into the corner. They cornered Bowens even more, which enraged Bowens, who turned the situation around by taking several corner kicks before sending Johnson out of bounds.

Bowens then goes after him, but is nearly blindsided by Lethal, only to send Lethal into the apron with Joe’s approval. He then eventually pulled Bowens away, reminding him to stay focused while Bowens brought Johnson back into the ring for a tag with Joe. Lethal then goes in for an assist and distracts Blake Christian which allows Johnson to hang Joe on the ropes and Lethal takes him down with a missile dropkick. Lethal Twist is still in control with Johnson double-teaming Joe. He then gets covered, but Joe kicks out at 2. Lethal then tags back in and trades shots with Joe, who hits him with a powerslam off the ropes. Both men go down before making the tag and Bowens takes down Lethal and Johnson.

Johnson then reversed and brought Bowens down hard for a two count. A tag is then made to Lethal and Lethal looks for a figure four leglock to no avail. A quick tag back to Johnson sends Bowens to the corner, only for Joe to intercept Lethal with a headbutt. Lethal and Joe attack with Lethal putting his thumb in the eye, only to be trapped in a Coquina Clutch. Bowens then took Johnson down with a slam before twisting his arm, forcing Johnson to tap out for the win.

After the game, Bowens took to the microphone and talked about how he had been feeling lost and confused lately, but thanks to The Ops he was able to find his way. Bowens then says he will always be the pride of professional wrestling, but if anyone is wondering about the change in attitude, Joe has taught him a lot and if he doesn’t like the way the table is set, he should flip the table and choose violence. Joe took the microphone and told Ospreay that choices have consequences. Joe then says he’s honored that Ospreay considers fighting him a dream match, but it’s a shame that it’s nothing but a nightmare when he gets in the ring.

Then we head to the back where Brody King starts talking about Swerve Strickland’s actions. Bandido then cuts King off, saying that only he should fight this battle. He then turned his attention to Strickland, saying that he would no longer be a danger to anyone after defeating Strickland at Double or Nothing.

Divine Dominion then goes down to the ring for their next match of the night, and we see an inset promo addressing a 5-minute eliminator, only to see that last time they only lasted 2.5 minutes. When this match begins, the opponent is already in the ring.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship 5-minute eliminator match: AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion (“The Megasus” Megan Bain & Lena Cross) vs. Aly Kutch & Kaya McKenna

The match begins with Allie Kutch and Lena Cross, with Allie immediately sent to the corner and peppered with blows. McKenna then tries to get involved, but to no avail as Divine Dominion closes in on both opponents, defeating Kutch with Divine Intervention for the victory 1 minute and 50 seconds later.

We then get a video package promoting a four-way match for the Women’s World Championship at Double or Nothing, with Thekla defending it against Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander, and Hikaru Shida.

Afterwards, go to the back and hear from Athena and Mina Shirakawa. They talk about their past history in preparation for Owen Hart’s tournament match, and Athena teases Shirakawa’s friend Toni Storm, infuriating her, and they get into an argument before a confrontation begins.

The commentary then talks about what happened on last night’s ROH Supercard of Honor, including Nigel McGuinness’ win over Josh Woods and Action Andretti watching his old friend Lio Rush during Josh Woods’ match.

Earlier today, McGuinness managed to get word from Rush after the incident occurred. According to Rush, these things happen. Rush then said that a loss had occurred and there was a disagreement between friends. Then Rush says it’s okay. Rush then says he’s happy to meet Nigel. McGuinness then leaves and Rush reveals that things may not actually be going well.

Next, I’m going to watch “The Dogs.” Before going into the ring for the next match of the night, he punched a stagehand backstage. Mark Davis then steps down to the ring, followed by The Rascals, who look back at how they won, including their Supercard of Honor victory, before starting the match.

Trio match: Don Callis Family AEW National Champion Mark Davis & The Dogs (David Finlay, Clark Connors) vs. The Rascals (Desmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed)

The match begins with Mark Davis and Desmond Xavier, with The Dogs distracting the referee and launching a sneak attack. Xavier then takes control and sends Davis into the corner before Davis leaves the ring. He and The Dogs then cut off a dive on Rascals and brawled with their opponents at ringside. Davis and Xavier then return to the ring and Davis finishes with a few kicks to the back. Reed then tags in and double-teams Davis, and Wentz is brought in before the Dogs can rush in. Dogs then sends Wentz to the ropes for a double elbow and senton. Davis then hit a centone and played to the crowd.

Connors tags in and holds Wentz down, then takes Xavier off the apron. Wentz then fights back and Reed goes up to the apron for a tag and they both go down. Finlay then tags in, but gets an enziguiri from Reed. Xavier then assists with a heel kick and a cutter, but Finlay comes back and sends Reed into the ropes. This ends with a double thrust kick by Rascals and a death drop of sorts gets a two count. Wentz then tags back in as he sets up Finlay, but Davis and Connors make the save. Finlay then hits a backbreaker and Clark hits a powerslam. Davis then gets the tag and The Dogs set up Reed and Wentz, but they counter with a poison rana as Xavier hits a superplex on Davis.

The match then spilled outside, with The Rascals hitting a triple dive to send Davis back into the ring. Then a senton follows, followed by a splash and a 450 splash, and Reed covers with a trio of legals, but Dogs narrowly breaks the pin. Davis then laid out Reed to regain control before teaming up with Finlay and setting Reed up at a full clip to seal the win.

We then head to the back where we hear from Anna Jay after her TBS title match two weeks ago. Jay says Willow Nightingale is still here so she might not be the comeback killer after all. Tei Mero then came out and told them they were both back and ready to get into the tag title picture. Then they leave.

Sammy Guevara then went down to the ring for the main event of the night and pulled some weapons out from under the ring in an attempt to take advantage of the no count out rule. Darby Allin comes down to the ring next.

AEW World Championship No Count Out Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. LFI’s ROH World Tag Team Champion “Spanish God” Sammy Guevara

The match begins with Sammy Guevara taking Darby Allin out of the arena, setting up a table and ladder, then putting Allin on the table and jumping off the ladder. Guevara then sends Allin into a table and slowly stands up to bring Allin back into the ring. Allin then managed to evade Guevara and went for a Scorpion Deathlock, but broke his own hold as he fell to the mat. The referee then goes to check on him before Guevara jumps and receives a drop, only for the cover to cause him to fall.

Guevara then goes back to attacking Allin and sends him into the outside barricade before taunting the crowd. This allows Allin to fight back, but Guevara hits a kick to the face and knocks Allin to the floor. Guevara then brings Allin back into the ring and hoists him up for a snap suplex followed by a second. He then goes for a cover with the Three Amigos, but Allin kicks out just in time and Guevara goes for the choke. Allin then stands up and attacks the ropes, but Guevara takes him down for two. Guevara then slams his boot into Allin’s face.

Allin then regains control and drops Guevara off the apron, but a dive causes Allin to hit Cutter to the floor instead. Guevara then takes him back into the ring and goes for a springboard, only to jump into a sleeper hold. Allin gets a deep hold, but Guevara crawls to the ropes and forces a break. Allin then heads for the corner, but Guevara rolls onto the apron and escapes, creating an opening for a near-fall. Guevara then puts Allin on the top turnbuckle, but Allin fights back and kicks him off. Guevara then immediately fought back and hit a Spanish Fly, sending Allin to the canvas and getting a two count.

Guevara then gets Allin to his feet and Allin counters with a Springboard Coffin Drop followed by a Code Red. That only works if Guevara gets a near fall when he kicks out. Allin then starts fighting back before being sent to the corner, where Guevara sets up a go-to-hell. Furthermore, Allin kicks out in the nick of time. Guevara then sets up another table on the outside before setting Allin on top of it, but Allin rolls out of the 450 splash attempt. Allin then brought Guevara back into the ring and hit a coffin drop for the win.

After the match, Allin barely moves after being awarded the title. Allin then finally took a knee, stood up, raised his hand in victory, and provided some lively commentary for Wednesday’s Double or Nothing match and Darby Allin defending Mike Bailey as the show came to a close.
