WWE Superstar Jordynne Grace is making her acting debut in an upcoming film crafted by an independent wrestler. Grace shared she began filming the movie in September 2024, posing alongside British independent wrestler Charles Crowley and Richard Summers Calvert.
The project, titled “Welcome,” was officially announced by Variety and is directed and written by Summers Calvert. Alongside Grace, the cast includes British stars Bill Nighy and Matthew Horne, with Nighy also contributing to the film’s audio work. Other cast members include Georgina Bennett, Kirk Patterson, Togo Igawa, Tracey Wilkinson, and the late Simon Fisherbecker.
“Welcome” is set in a mystical carnival where the protagonist awakens with no memory except their name. Variety describes the plot as following Lisa, who finds herself on a mysterious beach and meets beings who explain she has arrived at the “Carnival,” a vibrant place inhabited by humans and magical creatures. There, Lisa encounters another lost soul named Harvey. IMDb lists Grace’s role as “Lisa (Jacked Wrestling Demon Form).” The film is currently in post-production, with a planned release by the end of 2025.
Meanwhile, Jordynne Grace is also preparing to compete for the NXT Women’s Championship at WWE’s all-women premium live event, Evolution, scheduled for July 13th.
