An AEW star is optimistic about the chance to team up with his former WWE colleagues, confident that their paths will intersect once again. With Bobby Lashley already reunited with Shelton Benjamin and MVP in AEW, Lashley expresses surprise at not having yet crossed paths with another former partner since joining the company.
In an interview with WFAA, Lashley was asked about potentially reuniting with AEW’s Lio Rush. Lashley affirmed that such a reunion is definitely on the horizon, praising Lio Rush’s exceptional talent and noting that they are bound to collaborate while both are in AEW.
Lashley recalled their initial partnership starting in September 2018, where Lio Rush served as his hype man and manager. They worked closely until their split in April 2019, with one of their last collaborations taking place during a RAW episode in March 2019. Currently, Lashley and Shelton Benjamin hold the AEW Tag Team Championship, while Lio Rush teams with Andretti as part of CRU.
