The show begins with a meet and greet from Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett.

Tony D’Angelo and Robert Stone then meet Naraku in the parking lot to sign the contract. Naraku says he wants to give Tony the contract himself. Stone then says that Naraku has been having problems ever since he came here. Tony then opens the contract and a fireball hits him in the face.

An ambulance is then seen arriving at the WWE Performance Center to tend to Tony DeAngelo, and the ambulance is seen leaving.

We then see Saquon Sugars waiting for Dion Lennox and Lennox comes down to the ring. Lennox said he has already decided what the Great American Bash will be. Sugars then says he wants to play him one-on-one. Afterward, Sugars says he remembers being ushered to the announce desk by Dark State. Sugars then says he’s not moving out of fear, he’s moving smartly. Sugars then said that he only confirmed that he and Snakehead were the only ones in the center of the ring at the Great American Bash, which is why he eliminated the other Dark State members.
