Nikki Bella has made her return to WWE with a contract extension but feels her comeback won’t be complete without her sister Brie by her side. The WWE Hall of Famer appeared on “Live With Kelly and Mark” Tuesday morning to promote the upcoming Evolution 2 Premium Live event.
Nikki is set to compete in the Evolution Battle Royal this Sunday, where the winner earns a shot at the Women’s Championship at the Paris Clash. When asked if Brie would soon step back into the ring, Nikki was clear about her desires.
“She needs to join me because that’s the only way I feel I can win—with her,” Nikki said (via f4wonline.com). “Our fans, the Bella Army, have been loudly asking for Brie’s return, and I want her back too. This comeback won’t be perfect until the Bella twins are together, making it iconic.”
Earlier reports from TMZ Sports in June suggested Brie Bella was in talks to return to WWE, though Brie later denied having any contact with the promotion. Brie’s last match was at the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble.
For now, Nikki is focused on the upcoming Battle Royal at Evolution. “I’m obsessed with Paris,” Nikki shared. “Competing for a championship at such a huge PLE is incredible, so I have to win.”
Originally, Nikki planned a feud with Liv Morgan for Evolution, but those plans were scrapped after Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder. Nikki’s path to a championship opportunity now goes through the Battle Royal at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Sunday, July 13th.
