New sorrowful information has come to light following the death of seasoned professional wrestler Kevin Nikel.
Nikel was shot shortly after midnight on Friday near East Highway 12, close to Rogers, Arkansas, as reported by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. When deputies arrived, the 41-year-old wrestler was found with abdominal bleeding and was transported to a local hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
“A man was shot and killed near Rogers early on Friday morning,” stated Lt. Col. Shannon Jenkins, a spokesperson for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. Jenkins mentioned that no further details have been released at this moment.
Nikel had an 18-year career in professional wrestling, competing under the ring names Ivan Warsaw and Knuckles Madsen. He participated in house show matches for WWE’s NXT brand in 2012 and 2013, with his last recorded match occurring in July 2024.
