Tonight’s WWE Saturday Night Main Event airs on July 12, 2025 and promises an action-packed nightlife from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. On the show, WWE World Heavyweight Champion “The Ring General” Gunther defends the title against WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. Additionally, WWE US champion Solosicore defends the title against Jimmy Thor.

WWE Saturday Night Main Event Results (7/12/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
Joe Tessitore and Jesse Ventura are your hosts. They talk about Bill Goldberg’s retirement match happening tonight.
Jesse says Goldberg needs to finish the match quickly because his age is not by his side. The longer it gets, the more I support Gunther. Jesse also raises Randy Orton and says he knows Randy’s father, and says that the apple isn’t far from the tree. He says this will be war.

Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre
Drew lands a kick and throws a few punches. He climbs into the turnbuckle and continues to slap Randy, but Randy fights back. Randy’s clothesline pulled the top rope to the floor. He chases him outside and tries to hit the backdrop driver at the announcement table, but Drew blocks it and counters with his own backdrop. We come back and Randy throws some punches, but Drew sends him to the ropes with an Irish whip. Drew follows up with boots and hard chops on his head. Randy does not respond by clotheslinesing from the corner after another Irish whip.
Randy hits two clotheslines, but when he goes to his signature powerslam, Drew grabs the ropes to block it. Drew lands the headbutt, but this time Randy connects with Pouse Rum. He drags Drew and drops it onto the announcement table with a backdrop driver. And then do it again, then the third time is a good measure. Randy turned his attention to Logan and shot him before returning to Drew. However, Drew catches him coming in with a double throat thrust.
We head to a commercial break.
Randy hits Drew with a hanging DDT and drops down for RKO’s push-ups. Just then, Logan Paul jumps on his apron and distracts him. Drew has the advantage and nails Claymore and Randy, but Randy stepped onto the ropes to break the pin.
At ringside, Jerry Roll and Logan meet. Logan pushes Jelly in, and Jelly brings him back to the ground.
Drew notices the fuss and invites Jelly into the ring. Jerry points Drew and Drew sets up for a future shock DDT, but Randy pops up and hits RKO out of nowhere for a 3 count.
Winner: Randy Orton
After the match, Logan attacks Randy with a punch, mounts him and continues to shake. Jerry roll hesitates, but eventually enters the ring. He sneaks up behind Logan and slams him. Logan tries to fight back, but Jelly blocks the punch and hits Logan with his own. Jerry checks out Randy – to see Drew suddenly nail him with Claymore. Nick Aldis and Adam Pierce hurried out screaming at Drew.

We’re back and Nick Aldis and Adam Pierce are still screaming to Drew and Logan, trying to restore order.
Several wrestlers watch in the crowd. Naomi suddenly attacks Jade Cargill from behind and with a double sledge in the back. Officials rush to separate them, but Jade lands his forearm before flying Naomi onto the announcement table. Naomi immediately pops up and hits Jade with a splash from the table. Jade rolled into the ring, and Naomi climbed up on the announcement table, still activated.
Nick Aldis takes the microphone and says that’s enough. He thought they could wait until tomorrow night, but obviously they couldn’t. He says he was going to make the announcement personally, but now he’s doing it here. Nick announces the special guest referee for the match: Bianca Bella.

United States Championships: Wipe score (c) vs Jimmy Brother
USO lands a punch and a chop, but Solo answers with the elbow on his back. USO ducks down and solos falls over the top rope to the floor. The lie continues with a suicide dive, colliding with a solo, and becomes a ringside barrier.
USO will soon return to the ring and return before Bloodline’s home becomes involved. Solo returns, but Lie greets him with a punch. Solo sends USO to the apron, but USO fights back and climbs up the top rope. Solo catches him and delivers Uranage for the nearby autumn.
Lies fight back with punches, kicks and shoulders. He attempts a slingshot move, but Solo cuts him off with an uppercut. Tara then levels the USO with clothing.

We’re back and both men are fighting in the aprons. Solo attempts a suppression, but USO blocks it. They trade punches until Solo Rams Us appears in the ring post. USO recovers with a super kick and grabs the waist lock. Solo resists, but USO hits German suppression. The USO hits a crossbody for the nearby fall, then lands a running hip attack. He heads towards the top rope and connects with a frog splash, but the solo kicks out.
USO sets up a spear, but Solo repeatedly counters with kicks, drives him into the turnbuckle, and continues with Uranage. Solo goes to the Samoan Spikes, but hits USO ducks and super kicks. The lie climbs the turnbuckle again.
Solo rolls to the floor, and Lies twists Swanton and jumps into Solo, Mateo and Roa. Returning to the ring, Tara misses the kick and Lies hits a super kick. He turns his back and Solo rolls him up and Tara grabs Lie’s leg and holds the pin in place.
Winner: Soloshiko (still champion)
After the match, Tara kicks a lie. Mateo and Roa join in and beat him. They hold him, and Solo nails Samoan spikes. Suddenly, Jacob Fatu’s music hits and he raids the ring.
Fatu pulls out Mateo and Roa with a punch. He superkicks Roa and splashes Mateo. He then splashes Loa again and performs a hip attack with both. As he hypes, Tara steps into the ring and walks towards Fatu. Fatu throws punches, while Tala connects to his head with boots. Tara accuses him, but Fatu Dachx and Tara fly over the top rope. Fatu continues with a suicide dive on both Tara and Solo. Back in the ring, Fat performs an interpretive dance as a solo, with the rest of the pedigree retreating behind.
Another Goldberg video package will be broadcast.
We came back and Randy Orton apologized behind the scenes for taking him to Jerry Roll. Kathy Kelly will contact Randy for comment. Randy says he shouldn’t have brought the jelly with Drew and Logan. Jerry Roll responds by saying that he is a grown man and that they underestimate him. He wants some of both of them anytime, anywhere. Randy looks at Cathy and simply says, “Summer Slam.”
Lanite vs. Sethrolins
Knight brings Seth back to the corner, but Seth slips onto the rope. Seth lands a shot on the rib and they exchange punches. Knight hits the elbow on his back. He attempts a suppression, but his injured rib stops him from lifting Seth. Seth rebuts and falls to the floor. The Knight continues with a dropkick through the ropes, then repeatedly slams Seth into the announcement table. The night climbs and nails clotheslines from the table.

We’re back and Seth is the knight locked up in body scissors. The Knight fights and lands punches. Seth responds with a gut buster, then heads for the top rope and hits a frog splash for the nearby fall.
Knight blocks the punch and fights back with his own shot. Seth hits a shot into the midsection but misses a blackout. Knight rebuts with a neckbreaker and continues with a double jump Yeadlbow for two counts.
The Knight continues to put pressure on corner kicks and running hip attacks. He goes to BFT, but Seth slides down and moves to the apron. Seth bumps into the shoulder and gets mad and climbs to the top, but Knight cuts him off with a punch.
Knight lands the chop and goes to the Superplex. Seth pushes him down, but Knight jumps off to give him another try. Seth slides underneath it and hits a buckle bomb. Seth blacks out again, but misses it. Knight attempts a belly-to-back suppression, but is unable to lift Seth because of his ribs. Seth responds with an elbow and a springboard senton, then goes to Queblada, but Knight moves and Seth fine-tunes his knees.
The referee checks Seth and holds the Knight down and talks to Paul. Medical staff will come in to check on Seth. He whispers something to the doctor while the judge is still distracted. Knight suddenly attacks with a kick and nails the BFT for victory.
Winner: LA Night

We’re back and the Dream Tag Match has become Summer Slam’s official: Jerry Roll and Randy Orton face off against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Goldberg
They are trapped, but neither person gets an edge. Gunther throws a kick to try a shoulder block, but Goldberg holds his ground. Gunther lands a chop, smiles, hits another person, and has no effect. Goldberg fires with a clothesline, and a few punches and a short arm clothesline.
Goldberg sets up for the Jacka Hammer, but Gunther slides down and lands the punch. Gunther climbs to the top, but Goldberg catches him in a press slam. Goldberg sets up for the spear, but Gunther watches it come and roll on the floor. Goldberg follows and kicks gunthers with his legs. Gunther responds with kicks and more chops. Goldberg seeks a spear outside the ring, but Gunther moves, and Goldberg crashes the ringside barrier.

We’re back and Gunther is targeting Goldberg’s surgically repaired knee. Goldberg fights back with his elbow and exchanges chops. Gunther kicks the knee again, but Goldberg lands a jab and a spinebuster. He continues with more punches and corner kicks. They trade strikes until Gunther kicks the knee again, but Goldberg responds with calm back.
Goldberg indicts the spear, but Gunther moves and the judge gets hit. Goldberg checks the Ref and Gunther has an advantage. I kicked Goldberg into the back of my leg and stomped him as I tried to remove the braces from my knee. Gunther grabs Goldberg’s knee outfit and then bumps into him. He then walks to Goldberg’s son at ringside and untook him with a brace. Gunther pushes him in and his son tries to jump the barricade, but security hinders him.
Returning to the ring, Goldberg explodes with a signal from a spear and a jacka hammer. He bumps into it and the referee rushes off for a count, but Gunther is kicked out at two.
Gunther quickly locks the sleeper hold with body scissors. Goldberg struggles and fights to a sitting position, but eventually returns to the mat and falls. The judge checks him and calls for Bell.
Winner: Gunther (still champion)

We’re back and Michael Cole is in the ring with Bill Goldberg surrounded by friends and family. Goldberg says he doesn’t think he’d lost in Atlanta before. He thanked the crowd and said the fans were incredible and could not have done it without them.
