TNA Presidents Leave Door Open for On-Screen Conflicts

Carlos Silva serves as the president of TNA Wrestling, but don’t expect to see him physically involved in matches. In a recent interview on My Mother’s Basement, Silva was asked if he would follow in the footsteps of other wrestling executives who have taken on in-ring roles.

He responded, “The biggest part of the characters I’ve been involved with is just being myself. As the TNA Ringside president, I handle things without physical involvement.”

Though Silva hasn’t participated physically in TNA programming, he’s not the first wrestling executive to do so. Vince McMahon often took bumps during his WWE tenure, while Dixie Carter rarely appeared physically in TNA. In 2024, AEW President Tony Khan was physically attacked by the Elite, joining this exclusive group of executives who stepped into the ring.

Silva took over the presidency of TNA in 2024, months after the controversial departure of Scott D’Amore. While it remains uncertain if Silva will ever step into the ring, fans have come to expect that he prefers to keep the business side of wrestling separate from the physical aspect of the sport.

Fan Take: This update reassures TNA fans that their new president is focused on leadership rather than in-ring drama, which could bring much-needed stability to the company. For the sport, it’s a sign that not all wrestling executives feel the need to prove themselves physically, highlighting the value of strong management behind the scenes.
