Jim Ross Makes a Remarkable Recovery Following Hotel Collapse Incident

Jim Ross has disclosed that he is currently recovering from a severe fall he experienced during the All: Texas weekend. Despite this setback, Ross managed to return to AEW programming after taking time off from TV and battling colon cancer.

Ross explained that the fall occurred on the Thursday night before the event, and the situation was made worse because he couldn’t get help immediately. “I had a terrible fall in my hotel room on a Thursday night. I was lucky not to be unconscious, but I landed hard and suffered soft tissue injuries. I didn’t break any bones, but it was a bad fall, and I didn’t have my phone with me,” he shared.

Although no bones were broken, Ross is still dealing with soft tissue damage and ongoing pain. At 72 years old, he acknowledges that his body doesn’t heal as quickly as it used to but remains hopeful. “It still hurts now, and it took a long time to get through it. That’s the only downside to this fall. I survived it… the older you get, the slower the healing, and that’s where I’m at,” Ross said.

Remarkably, just two days after the incident, Ross returned to the commentary desk, where he covered the iconic match between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada. The AEW community and fans wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Fan Take: Jim Ross’s resilience is a testament to his dedication and love for wrestling, inspiring AEW fans and the sport alike. His quick return reinforces the spirit of perseverance in pro wrestling and highlights the vital role veteran voices play in preserving its legacy.
