Sammy Guevara & Dustin Rhodes Rock DC-Inspired Gear at Supercard of Honor

Ring of Honor held its annual Supercard of Honor Pay-Per-View earlier this month, featuring 12 matches, including four pre-show bouts. Among these was the ROH World Tag Team Championship match, occurring just a day before Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara competed twice in AEW on the same evening. In Guevara’s latest vlog, he showcased Supercard gear inspired by two iconic DC comic book heroes.

Guevara’s outfit was modeled after Superman, while Rhodes wore gear inspired by the Green Lantern, although fans humorously remarked that Rhodes resembled the Hulk. Rhodes joked that he had wanted the Superman look, but Guevara got to the wardrobe team first.

Following their Supercard of Honor victory and a previous teaming with Marshall and Ross Von Erich on AEW All Out, Rhodes and Guevara faced a packed schedule that night due to unforeseen changes. Adam Cole had to vacate the TNT Championship and step away from wrestling because of concussion issues.

To address the vacancy, AEW owner Tony Khan organized a four-way match for the title. Rhodes and Guevara teamed up with Daniel Garcia and Kyle Fletcher. In his hometown of Texas, Rhodes captured his first AEW singles championship by pinning Garcia after a small package piledriver. Rhodes appeared on last week’s AEW Collision to celebrate his win, but the moment was interrupted by Fletcher and Don Charis, setting the stage for an upcoming singles match between Fletcher and Rhodes.

Fan Take: This news is significant for AEW fans as it highlights the intense crossover between AEW and ROH talents, boosting the excitement around both promotions. Dustin Rhodes’ new title win and the teased rivalry with Kyle Fletcher promise fresh storylines that could elevate AEW’s competitive landscape.
