New Regulations Introduced for WWE SummerSlam Championship Showdown

1 Min Read

The rules for championship matches at the upcoming WWE Summerslam Premium Live Events have been revealed. On last week’s Raw episode, Lyra Valkyria triumphed over Bailey in a three Falls match, earning a chance to challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam.

This will be the third time Lyra and Becky face off for the title—Lyra successfully defended her championship against Becky at the May Backlash, but Becky prevailed in their rematch at June’s Money in the Bank event. The Money in the Bank contract prevented Lyra from challenging for the title while Becky was champion. Now, Becky has made a new stipulation for their Summerslam clash. She announced that if she wins, Lyra will be barred from challenging for the title again.

Lyra accepted Becky’s challenge but added the condition that their match be held without disqualifications or countouts, to which Becky agreed.

Fan Take: This high-stakes stipulation adds a fresh layer of intensity to the Summerslam title match, making it a must-watch event for WWE fans. The outcome could redefine the trajectory of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship and deepen the ongoing rivalry between Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch.
