The fiancé of a current WWE Raw star is among the participants attending the tryouts during Summerslam Week in New Jersey. Continuing its yearly tradition, WWE is conducting these tryouts alongside Summerslam 2025 at MetLife Stadium, with tickets now available for fans who want to watch the tryout live.
One standout participant this year is LJ Cleary, the fiancé of Raw’s Lyra Valkyria. Cleary has been involved in WWE before, notably during Valkyria’s match against Becky Lynch at Backlash in May. He is also well-known in the wrestling world, having competed in various promotions such as OTT, Pro Wrestling Noah, NJPW, CZW, and Defy.
Several other wrestlers from indie circuits and athletes from different sports are also confirmed for this year’s Summerslam Week tryouts. Names include Ben Bishop, Meghan Walker, Mike Cunningham, Golden Boy Santos, Zoe Sager, Jacob McNair, CBL, Rain Leberkusen, Anita Vaughn, Ariana Milano, Elinite, Will Cruz, Ellen B. Eckeson, Eduardo Godinho, Vincent King, Zoe Hines, CJ Felder, and Eden Beag.
Notably, Golden Boy Santos and Reinerebakusen also participated in a WWE tryout in London earlier this year. Meghan Walker has already signed a contract with WWE NIL and is in the same class as Brock Rechsteiner (son of Scott Steiner), Jacob Henry (son of Mark Henry), and TJ Bullard (son of Titus O’Neil).
Fan Take: This news is exciting for WWE fans because it highlights the fresh talent pool WWE is scouting, including established indie stars and second-generation athletes.
