Karrion Kross is gearing up for a significant match at SummerSlam this week. However, he was originally slated to compete in Bloodsport XIV, but WWE denied the request.
During a discussion with The Ringer, Kross shared that he was invited to take part in Bloodsport XIV, but WWE intervened. He believes the organization’s refusal stemmed from concerns about the risk of injury ahead of SummerSlam, especially with two matches scheduled in such a short timeframe.
Kross expressed disappointment over the missed opportunity, as he was looking forward to experiencing two major events back-to-back.
“It’s amusing in a way. Bloodsport wanted me to be a part of it, but WWE was worried about potential injuries prior to SummerSlam and shut it down. I was really frustrated about that.”
This week, Kross is set to clash with Sami Zayn at the SummerSlam Premium Live event. It’s unfortunate that he missed out on Bloodsport, especially considering his previous involvement in that promotion.
