“WWE NXT” wrestler Ashante “Thee” Adonis, whose real name is Tehuti Miles, has officially announced his departure from WWE. The 32-year-old shared a farewell message on X, reflecting on his six years with the company and expressing gratitude for the experiences and opportunities he received. He mentioned that while his time under WWE lights was memorable, he’s ready to embark on a new journey to fully showcase his potential, comparing his career shift to moving from multiplayer to story mode in a game. Adonis described this departure as a fresh start where he aims to become the best version of himself, hinting that fans have only seen a small part of what he can truly achieve.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Adonis left WWE due to his contract expiring. He initially signed with WWE in August 2020. After being released in November 2021 along with the rest of the Hit Row faction, Adonis and team members Top Dolla and B-Fab returned to WWE in August 2022. Adonis’ most notable storyline involved a romantic angle with Karmen Petrovic, which ended abruptly after Petrovic reacted with a roundhouse kick to his face. His last match took place on the June 24 episode of “NXT,” where he was defeated by Ricky Starks.

Fan Take: Ashante Thee Adonis’ departure could signal a significant shift not only in his career but also for WWE’s evolving talent landscape. For fans, this opens up exciting possibilities for fresh talent to rise while reminding us how wrestlers often need to explore different platforms to unlock their full potential in the sport.
