AEW recorded an August 20 episode of AEW Collision from OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The action-packed night provided some solid matchups, and here are spoiler results.
The show began with a promotion from Will Osprey. Will Osprey said he wasn’t cleared for a match at the forbidden door, but he’s not approved and will wrestling anyway. John Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Utah came to the ring and tried to attack, but met speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight. All three sides brawled until Tarnahashi Island hit the ring.
Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli faced Tanahashi Hiroshi, Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight. Eventually, Turnawake Island, Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight won the victory.
There was interference during the match and a post-match beatdown. After Bell, the young Bucks joined in. Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly fought back against Buck. Derby Allyn made a surprise appearance, and OPPS joined upon arrival, leading to a huge brawl in the crowd.
There was an in-ring promo segment between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, who stood up against Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne, and was also marked by the revival of Lucasaurus. Luchasaurus was not by the cage. Nick Wayne reveals he was injured and Lukasaurus replaces him in a tag team match at the Forbidden Door.
FTR (with Stokely) faces Brody King and Bandido, with the winner winning spots in the AEW Tag Team title match with Forbidden Door. The match was a time-limited draw. This means that both teams will face a syndicate of scars in the tag team titles on the prohibited door.
Hangman Adam Page delivered promotions in the ring. Meanwhile, MJF holds Mark Briscoe behind with the help of Ricochet and Agony’s gates, forcing the page to agree to three terms. The title may change the hand in DQ.
In the main event, Mercedes Monet and Athena faced Tonistorm and Alex Windsor, with Mercedes Monet and Athena winning in a hard fat match. This completes the taping.
