AEW Dynamite Results (8/27/2025): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens with commentary that welcomes us. They then look back at past Sunday AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door PPV and what Death Riders did after Lights Out Steel Cage Match.

FTR’s music is a hit and they move towards the ring with Stokeley. As they move towards the ring, Cash Wheeler has a few words to bring fans to sleep. The FTR then tries to deal with what happened on Sunday during the match, but the big chorus of boos from the crowd makes it difficult. Harwood then talks about the miscarriage of justice taking place at the forbidden door and deals with the fact that he failed to win the title of the tag. The crowd then tells him to push against him and “close f**k”, claiming that an illegal man has pinned him.

Harwood then asked referee Paul Turner how long he has been in the business and finds out he has been a referee for 27 years. If you can imagine Turner has a wife and family and his wife is here and telling him he has to tell his family that he has failed because of an incompetent idiot. Paul says he can’t, and Harwood uses this to correct this mistake by turning his decision back on and naming FTR as the tag team champion. Turner says, unfortunately, his decision is standing. This ignors Stokeley, who calls Turner a fool, and he says he wants to appease these idiots, but if he wants to do the right thing, he can’t reverse this decision. This leads to a standoff with the judges before Copeland’s music appeared. Copeland then proceeds towards the ring, but he looks over his shoulder as if waiting for a Christian cage. This leads to Cage and Copeland doing that with FTR, but officials and security rush to split things up.

As FTR and Stokely begin to leave the ring, Cage grabs the microphone and says they have helped Copeland deal with his problems at the forbidden door. He then begins to go on to it about Harwood and Wheeler having a father before he challenges Copeland by silence everything in Toronto and becoming a “C&C” vs. FTR in his hometown town of Toronto.

After that I got the video package. There we hear from Derby Allin about trekking Mount Everest and how he was made to think about revenge against the Death Rider. Allin says he has promised to take everything from John Moxley after trying to take it from AEW.

The Death Rider then heads into the ring for the first match of the night, followed by Daniel Garcia.

Single Match: Death Rider John Moxley vs Daniel Garcia

The match begins with both men locking up and Garcia gaining the edge at Moxley. Garcia then gets up and hits the rope, but is defeated by Moxley with a shoulder tackle. Moxley then takes Garcia to the corner and gets some mounted punches. Garcia simply responds with a dragon screw that catches Moxley with the rope. Afterwards, as Garcia continues, Moxley falls outside and confronts the barricade before Moxley fights back. Moxley then drops Garcia onto the floor and slides into the ring.

The judge then begins counting. Utah and Shafir stalker Garcia outside before Daddy Magic makes his way to help even numbers. Garcia then came back into the ring and finally forced him to look back at things at Moxley and breathe him. Moxley then regains control and sends Garcia to the corner before clasping his fingernails behind him. Moxley then continues his attack until Garcia bites Moxley’s leg and defeats him violently with a superplex, before he fights back with a gust of punches. Both men then stood up before Moxley hit Garcia with his boots and sent him onto the ropes. Garcia then attacks the Lariat with Moxley for two counts.

Moxley then bumps into Garcia with a cutter, but as he struggles to capitalize, Garcia is able to tighten the crab on one leg. Moxley then cras towards the rope, grabbing the bottom to force a break. Moxley then lures Garcia outwards, then hits the ring step with a DDT, and Garcia falls to the floor as Moxley returns to the ring. Papa Magic then checks out Garcia and tries to get him back into the match, as Garcia slowly stirs as the count goes on. After that, we reach a count of 9 as Garcia is able to jump into the ring. Moxley then goes to Stomp, but Garcia dodges it, and Moxley touches his cross arm breaker before Garcia counters the dragon tamer. Moxley then struggles to be free when Garcia comes back, which gives Moxley an opening when he goes to Garcia’s chokehold. Garcia then breaks the clutch freely and gets the nearby autumn. They then win a pinfall attempt and a exchange of Garcia in Moxley Cradle.

Singles match winner, Death Rider John Moxley!

After the match, Wheeler Utah grabs the microphone and tells Derby Ally that Moxley doesn’t want to breathe, and Utah gives the message that the answer is no. He then leaves the ring when he sees Moxley and Garcia being orally spewed before Moxley and Garcia leave the crowd. Garcia then throws a chair and climbs the ramp, telling the camera not to get in the way.

Wheeler Yuta says he stayed in the ring and was on a ring crew in Philadelphia. Utah says Will Osprey leaves the door forbidden by stretcher and Chuck Taylor has a broken neck. Utah says he killed Brian Danielson’s “American Dragon” and replaced him. Hook’s music hits and he moves towards the ring. Utah then accuses him with a hook, but Hook slams him into the corner and locks him into his redrum. Hook then crashes him into the mat with a right hook, and heads back as the crowd chants his name.

You will then receive a post-lone door interview with MJF. MJF is working on dealing with Mark Briscoe, losing to “Hangman” Adam Page. MJF also says Tony Kahn says he can’t cash out his legitimate title shot whenever he does.

Megan Bene and Penelope Ford head into the ring for the next night’s match, followed by Chris Stallander and Harley Cameron.

Tag Team Match: “Megasus” Megan Bene and Penelope Ford vs. Chris Statlander and Harley Cameron

The match starts with Statlander and Ford moving on to it, and Statlander can get the edge before tagging them with Cameron. Then you get a bit of a double team, followed by a tag, with Statlander getting a 2 count. Statlander then hits a delayed vertical suppression in Ford, and Ford craps tags to Bayne. After that, we get a simple stare between Bayne and Statlander, but Cameron tagged Bayne because he wants to make Bayne feel angry. Bane then pushes Cameron away, but is sent to the corner as Cameron manages to put in some stomps with Bane. Cameron then sends Bane to the other side, but gets caught up in West Rock by Bane dragging Cameron into the corner before tagging him with Ford.

Cameron then stays on the attack until Bane sneaks up with a shot, keeping Cameron long enough for Ford to fight back. Cameron is protected from Ford’s tag before Cameron manages to escape. The tag is then created in Statlander. Statlander runs down Ford and Bayne and bumps into autumn near the fisherman driver. Ford then received an assist from Bane from the tag and hit the cutter before Bane hit a big lariat on two counts. Megan and Ford then set up Cameron and Statlander for Double Mooson, but to no avail. Statlander then assists Bayne Up and Cameron to send Statlander out hard for the cover, but Ford breaks it. Things then fall apart, with all four women down. Ford and Cameron leave the ring when Statlander and Bein exchange for some strikes. After that, Ford gets the tag, but is worn by Statlander, which sets up the armbar of the cross. Ford has no choice but to tap out.

Tag Team Match winners, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron!

After the match, Bane is about to chase after the Statlander, but Willow Nightingale stops this as she stares at her former friend with the Statlander.

Rennie Puckett is then introduced by Mercedes Monet and Monet, who goes to the ring. Monet tells Philadelphia to greet “Nine Belt Morne” to count all the title belts on the table before Pedestal asks Monet about his time in the UK. She then asks Monet what to do for her, and Monet says she is going to crush the 10 belts of Ultimo Dragon. Pucket then says that Alex Windsor taps her out, but Monet claims that she never taps out because she was in a timeout, chasing the bug out of the ring. Monet says that Windsor is jealous of her being the British women’s champion of better Revpro and not caring about Windsor and putting her in the hospital bed right next to her husband Will Ospreay. Monet says she wants to dance to the celebration and will.

He then hears from Mark Brisco, who is back home, and before he tackles what MJF has been doing recently, he introduces us to the latest member of the crew (a newborn baby). Brisco then turns his attention to someone else who has his name in his mouth, and that’s Kyle Fletcher. Brisco then challenges Fletcher for the TNT Championship and says that he should do that here in Philadelphia as he is in Philadelphia. Brisco then ends by asking Fletcher if he would become a man.

The Don Charis family then heads into the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Brody King, Bandido and Jetspede.

All-Star 8 Man Tag Team Match: AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Hounds of Hell’s Brody King and Roh World Champion Bandido) and Jetspeed “The Jet” Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Don Callis Family (Hexero, AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker”

The match begins with Bandido and Takeshita before Hexero tagged him and surprises Bandido. Hexero then sends the bandid into the corner, gusts of punches, then drags the tag into the corner to tag it. After some shots, Alexander’s tag is entered before King gets his own tag to defeat Alexander and Takechita. A tag is then created on the Knight, and he and Speedball follow Alexander after the tag is created on the Speedball. Alexander then reaches for the tag, with both Okada and Takeshita making the tag at the same time. They then stare at each other for a while, but it turns out to be a ruse as it appears that the king cleans up the ring before sending them outside. King then fired the bandid on the ropes up at the same time as the Jetspede, with all three men landing on the outer Don Charis family.

The Don Charis family have knights on the horns before gaining the upper hand in Hexero and Alexander. The King then comes to attack and takes a Powerbomb by Takeshita before the Knight is taken away. The bandid then slides to find a vertical suppression with Takeshita before hexero saves. The tag is then made by Bailey and Takeshita, and both men go to it before Bailey blocks the flip of the sunset to drop a backflow knee to Takeshita. Bailey then asks for a cover, but it’s split.

Okada then offers an assist before Takechita gets a nearby fall cover. There appears to be some hostility between Okada and Takechita when it comes to a driving contest from Okada before King pulls Takechita out of the ring. Afterwards, as chaos continues, Bailey avoids the rainmaker and sends Okada out of the ring. He then goes up to the top, but Alexander drops the shooting star’s knee and rolls him up for the victory.

Winner of the All-Star 8-man tag team match, Don Karis Family (Hechesero, AEW unified champion “Rainmaker” Okada “Alpha” Konosuke, “Walking Weapon” Joshu Alexander)!

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page moves towards the ring. He starts by holding the microphone in his hand and thanking Will Osprey for everything he did, and he hopes Osprey will feel better. Page says he’s trying to avoid creating a speaking habit for others, but he hopes that we all come back soon.

The page then turns its attention to the MJF. MJF tried and failed to do everything he could to steal the title at the forbidden door. The page addresses the fact that MJF must give seven days of notice and promises to beat MJF before the ink dries on the contract.

The page is then interrupted by Don Karis. He says it’s because the weak in his family were those who were guarding it against him. Karis says he wants to get the title back to the Don Karis family, and says he knows because there is an entire locker room ready to try and he signs half of them. Charis then calls for his family to come to the pages around the outside, but the pages drop onto one of them to fight back. They then bring the page into the ring, but Jetspeed comes out for an assist. Charis then passes the steel baton to get Bailey and the rest of the beatdown, but Kenny Omega’s music hits and he runs off and passes Hechsero on his way to the ring. Archer then goes to Chokeslam, but is attacked by the baton before Omega takes him to his lap. Bailey helps clear the ring as the combo’s Buckshot Lariat and V-Trigger sends an Archer to the Matt. He then rolled out of the ring as a embrace of Page and Omega, with Jetspede joining as a reorganization of the outer Don Charis family.

After that, he gets a promotion from Toni Storm, and Shirakawa and Shirakawa show how well her hands are doing by slaping the storm in the face. Storm is excited that she is back, and both Shirakawa and Athena promise to send Shirakawa from the top of the 2300 Arena of Death before disgrace when the ROH Women’s World Championship is on the line.

Ricochet and Gore then head to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by OPPS.

AEW World Trios Championship Match: OPPS (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata) (c) vs. Ricochet and Goa (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)

The match begins with Hobbs and Ricochet, and Hobbs leads it to Ricochet. He then gets a blind tag by Bishop Coun, and Coun is attacked until Hobbes catches him with a shoulder tackle. The tag is then made into a created Shibata, who hits a gust of attack. The couns then fight back, leading to a chop exchange between both men. Shibata then sends Kaun to the corner, dealing more damage, leading Dropkick and Underhook to two counts. Shibata then hits the ropes, but before Ricochet gets involved he shoots some boots from Kaun, and Kaun’s big hit brings Shibuya to the outside, where Ricochet and Gore get more shots.

Shibata and Kaun go to it as the Empire defeated Kaun with a stole. Tags are then created for Hobbs and Liona, and when the brawl begins, they get a “flesh” chant. Liona then sends Hobbes to the corner and tells the crowd to shut up before charging with Hobbes, who swings it around with her own strike, for some strike. He then sends Liona onto the ropes and lays out him in the clothesline. A tag is then created on the Samoa Joe, and the chaos continues until Gore is sent out of the ring.

Winners and still AEW World Trios Champions, OPPS (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata)!

After the match, Gore helps Ricochet on his feet, but when the injured syndicate music hits, they can bring him back to the mat and go on the attack. Benjamin and Lashley then go with Gore and fight back through the entrance and leave Ricochet in the ring.

Claudio Castagnoli heads towards the ring in the backstage area for the main event the night before Derby Allin charges at him.

Falls Count Anywherematch: Death Rider Claudio Castagnoli vs Derby Allin

The match officially begins, with Allin being pushed into the shopping cart and Castagnoli being pushed away for more damage. He then drags Allin into the general ringside area, hits a huge swing before sending Allin against the guardrail. He then returns Allin to the ring. Allin just comes to dive on top of Castagnoli. Allin then climbs a nearby pole and hits a fall of ffin, but only gets two counts. He then continues his attack before the fight ends in the ring. Allin then hits the rope, but is laid out along with a pop-up uppercut to welcome the nearby autumn. Castagnoli then sends the announcer to lift Arin for the gorilla press slam and fly Arin to the Annambu desk.

Castagnoli then continues his attack on Allin. Castagnoli then continues to beat Allin, and we find that several tables are supported in the opposite corner. Castagnoli then begins to laugh at Allin, looking for a guillotine choke. Castagnoli then rose to his feet and was able to lift Allin up in front of the sleeper hold allin counter while he was behind Castagnoli. Castagnoli then drops Allin on the mat over his shoulder. Afterwards, Arin returns to his feet as Castagnoli accuses him, but Arin sees side steps and Castagnoli running through one of the corner tables.
